The entire island is monastic and is home to an abbey and two churches, one of which is Saint George's Church.
This small and simple church was consecrated on eastern side of the island in the year 896.
The abbot Heito the Third returned from Rome with the head of Saint George, giving the church its name.
The countryside surrounding the church is a beautiful landscape of green fields and flowers.
Between Saint George's and the island's other churches, Reichenau Island is a peaceful and wonderful place to visit.

This scene was taken at Night in beautiful Germany in Spring 2004. I wish I did not delete all those pictures and videos, but some scenery, and Gothic, European architecture was just breathtaking! Some town in Prague, Czcech Republic also reminded me of Lindblum, from Final Fantasy IX. Funny thing is, I dreaded this trip, but a lot of the places we visited, things we did, people we saw, was memorable, nostalgic, and almost healing.
