TGV TRAIN - FIRST CLASS SEAT TOUR - Marseille to CDG - France
The TGV is France's high-speed train system. The network allows travel from one part of France to another in only a few hours. On my last French adventure, I took the TGV first from Paris to Avignon to spend some time in Provence. When I was ready to come home, I took the TGV direct from Marseille in the South of France right to CDG airport in Paris. Here's a look at my First Class seat on the ride from Marseille to CDG.
If you live in the US, it's easy to buy your TGV tickets on Rail Europe ( They're the official US sales outlet for most European train systems. You can buy point to point tickets or rail passes on their site, they mail them to you at home in the US before your trip so you have them in hand.

High Cotton BBQ
High Cotton is owned and operated by a native North Carolina family that was born and raised in the heart of barbecue country. They serve authentic eastern North Carolina-style pork barbecue. The pork is smoked for hours over hickory, is hand-chopped and then seasoned with a light, vinegar-based sauce that doesn't overpower the natural flavor of the smoked meat. The Southern fried chicken is crisp and delicious. The smoked chicken is so tender it falls right off the bone, and the Texas-style beef brisket is smoked, sliced and served with a tangy sauce. The St. Louis cut ribs are the local's favorite for good reason. Portions here are generous. They serve traditional side dishes like cole slaw, baked beans and fresh vegetables plus crispy corn sticks and French fries. The sauces are homemade and available for purchase. They have a kid's menu. This is a great place to feed a crowd, and they have a speedy to-go counter for take-out. Check out their convenient to-go packages and bring home your own pig-pickin'. The restaurant also offers catering. High Cotton serves lunch and dinner every day in season and closes for a short time in the winter.

How much equality among social classes does exist in France?
Is equality among social classes in France something that is existing? How are social classes in France living happily together or is there a big gap between them? What is the situation in France when we are talking about social classes, ethnic groups? Are they co-existing in peace or ignoring each other completely? France has always known social classes, but also is it one of their pillars that equality must be lived.
Living like a God in France is a saying applicable to vacationers in France, but absolutely not to the French themselves: to them, life is nothing but worrisome. They are facing high unemployment rates, fear of new terror attacks and an important political division. What is left of pillars that are the basis of the French republic: Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité? And what does it mean actually, to be French, today? Dutch Parisian Wilfred de Bruijn uncovers an intriguing country, full of contradictions, far away from the cliches we all know.
The ideal of equality was the main driving force behind the French Revolution, but does equality really exist in France? Wilfred de Bruijn explores the gap between the different ethnic groups in his hometown of Paris in search of an answer. From the students of the prestigious Ecole de la Legion d'Honneur who talk lovingly about the republican values to the real people of Saint Denis that hold a much different discourse: Officially, I'm French, said a Muslim in the street, but not as French as the whites. In a different world, the 7th and 8th arrondissement, the old privileged elite of Paris lives, still holding on to their entitlement, despite the fact that the French nobility officially no longer exists. At the same time, in the suburbs of Paris there are no privileges and what was previously expressed in rap music and violent riots threatens to turn into radicalization and terrorism. Wilfred wonders: what binds the French yet?

Virtual walk around an English village
Today's virtual walk is in Great Missenden which was reported in 1293 by Sir William de Missenden as being founded in 1333. There is some dispute to this as an old convent register date its foundation to 1131. an ancient court record says it was founded by the Doyleys.
Roald Dahl lived in the village for 36 years till his death in 1990. there is a museum d
