The widely read Frommers travel guide considers the Golden Gate Bridge possibly the most beautiful, certainly the most photographed bridge in the world. The Golden Gate was designed by architect Joseph B. Strauss, whose statue stands on the southern observation deck, the bridge took four years to build, and was finally completed on May 27, 1937. It is not actually golden in color, but is painted a deep red-orange color known as International Orange, also known as Orange Vermillion. This aerial video clip takes the viewer over the approach hills to the bridge and then gives a complete view of the Golden Gate complete with traffic below.
