THA DIN DAENG MARKET | Local Thai Market, Bangkok, Thailand
Tha Din Daeng Market is a local Thai market in Bangkok, Thailand.
It is located on the other side of the Chao Phraya River, right next to Tha Din Daeng Night Market and the Din Daeng Cross River Ferry Pier.
This market is literally set up on an empty block of land. It seems big and confusing at first glance, but once you walk around. You begin to get a sense of the surroundings and the layout.
Which is not that big after all, but still a decent size. You won't find many tourists at this market at all.
The prices here are reasonable, although I did expect it to be a bit cheaper. Considering that only locals come here.
You can find anything from, raw meat, cooked meat, food, fruits, vegetables, clothes, basic household needs and even a giant jumping castle for the kids.
If you would like to. get away from all the touristy markets and get a feel for the local markets, then head over to Tha Din Daeng Market.
DIRECTIONS:
Take the ferry to DIN DAENG CROSS RIVER FERRY PIER and walk straight down along THA DIN DAENG RD. You will see the market on your right-hand side.
OPENING HOURS
I believe this market starts around 3:00PM. I'm not sure till what time though.

The ghost tower in Bangkok is closed! (edited: maybe not)
Edit from December 2016, I've seen videos of people getting in -check pinned comment. Looks like there is still a chance if you try, but no guarantees!
As of february 2016, we (and like, 10 other people) attempted to get into the ghost tower. Everyone was willing to pay the entrance fee, and one guy even climbed in over the fence but the locals there absolutely refused to let us in.
I've read about this place on many vlogs that recommend it as an unusual tourist attraction but it looks like it is closed now.
Let me know if the situation changes are you succeed to get in after today!
