With a small hike from Ella wellawaya road you can reach the camping site, also you can visit many beautiful sites beforehand in Ella, which is a most popular place to visit in Sri lanka.

Ella Wala Falls is a small but beautiful waterfall lying on the Ella – Wellawaya Road. Not the closest waterfall to Ella, but still people go there to enjoy a bath as it got a natural pool like area to have some fun.

Ravana Falls is another must visit in Ella. Hill country of Sri Lanka is quite popular for beautiful waterfalls and Ravana Falls is right at the top.

Ramboda Falls, Sri Lanka

Ramboda Falls Hotel so named due to its proximity the breathtaking Ramboda Falls waterfall in Nuwara Eliya.

Ramboda Falls is 109m high and 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and 729th highest waterfall in the world. It is situated in Pussellawa area, on the A5 highway at Ramboda Pass. It formed by Panna Oya which is a tributary of Kothmale Oya. Altitude of the falls is 945m above sea level.

Kirindi Ella, Kuttapitiya, Pelmadulla (2014) - 1 of 2

This 116m fall is the 7th highest in Sri Lanka and lies 6km along Pelmudulla-Kuttapitiya Road.

The source of this breath-taking fall is the Kirindi Ela (stream), which flows from its starting point 940m up the Kuttapitiya Mountain.

The stream travels 13km before the cascading point in the Kaluwara Mukalana Jungle. It then flows via the Denawaka River to the Kalu Ganga, located in the Bambarakotuwa Jungle.

Local villagers say that there is a picture of a tortoise etched into stone here.

* Use reusable water bottles so that you don’t have to keep buying plastic ones. It’ll not only save you money but will help save nature massively.

* Remain quiet and vigilant. Don’t disturb the tranquility of the nature. Instead savor it.

* Try and bring if you spot any litter/garbage left behind by other careless travellers.

* Don’t light fires unnecessarily and do try to use portable cookers instead of using firewood when camping. The increase usage of firewood leads to more deforestation even at a smaller scale.

* Don’t bring any plants back with you or break any plants/branches unnecessarily.

* Don’t walk off the designated footpath.

* Don’t use soap/detergent/shampoo when bathing in natural streams as they’d only lead to the contamination of those pure water sources and elimination of wildlife species.

* Don’t do anything that harms the Mother Nature.
