The Town Hall Tours was built between 1896 and 1904 by the architect Touraine Victor Laloux at law rue Nationale. The monumental building, disproportionately large compared to the Place Jean-Jaurès and the Palace of Justice , is intended to reflect the republican virtues and the municipal authority. The town hall and the Place Jean Jaurès evoke a Parisian layout. Interior and exterior decoration accounted for one quarter of the total cost (596,000 francs for 2.36 million).
On the facade, there are four Atlanteans of François Sicard ; on the left and right of the clock, two caryatids (Day and Night) are by Emile Joseph Nestor Carlier (1849-1927). Two elongated characters represent the Loire (on the left) and the Cher . They are Jean-Antoine Injalbert . The two wings are decorated: to the west, the Courage and Force of Jean-Baptiste Hugues , and to the east, Education and Vigilance, by Alphonse Cordonnier . All the rest of the decoration is due to Henri Varenne (who alone will receive 334,000 francs). Its roof served as a model for the restoration of the Montreal City Hall following its fire in 1922 .
On the ground floor, the stone peristyle serves as a place of exhibition.The monumental stone staircase houses a monument to the dead. On the first floor, the village hall and the wedding hall are abundantly decorated. The municipal council chamber is adorned with a triptych on the life of Joan of Arc by Jean-Paul Laurens (1901-1903).

Très sympa la mairie de Tours surplombant la place Jean Jaurés. Propre et bien entretenu. malheureusement je n'ai pas eu la chance de le visiter. Belles fontaines. À gauche de la mairie commence le quartier majestueux de Tours avec ses boutiques et ses chaînes commerciales.
Molto bello il municipio di Tours che domina piazza Jean Jaurés. Pulito e ben tenuto. purtroppo non ho avuto modo di visitarlo. Belle le fontane. A sinistra del municipio inizia la zona signorile di Tours con bei negozi e catene commerciali.
Very nice the town hall of Tours overlooking Piazza Jean Jaurés. Clean and well kept. unfortunately I did not have the chance to visit it. Beautiful fountains. To the left of the town hall begins the stately area of Tours with nice shops and commercial chains.
Muy bonito el ayuntamiento de Tours con vistas a la Piazza Jean Jaurés. Limpio y bien cuidado. desafortunadamente no tuve la oportunidad de visitarlo. Hermosas fuentes A la izquierda del ayuntamiento comienza la zona señorial de Tours con bonitas tiendas y cadenas comerciales.
Sehr schön das Rathaus von Tours mit Blick auf die Piazza Jean Jaurés. Sauber und gepflegt. Leider hatte ich keine Gelegenheit, es zu besuchen. Schöne Brunnen. Links vom Rathaus beginnt der stattliche Bereich von Tours mit schönen Geschäften und Handelsketten.
Очень приятно ратуша Туры с видом на площадь Жан-Жоре. Чистое и ухоженное. к сожалению, у меня не было возможности посетить его. Красивые фонтаны. Слева от ратуши начинается величественный район Туров с красивыми магазинами и торговыми сетями.
