Yesterday I was at the start and first day of the 2016 Cars & Coffee Italy Rally. During the day the cars met in a beautiful location near Bologna and after launch they went to San Cesario sul Panaro, where Pagani Automobili factory is based.

Horacio Pagani and the whole Pagani family are delighted to welcome you at the new Pagani Automobili factory located in San Cesario Sul Panaro, Modena. It covers 5800 mq.
Built with the same philosophy that we apply on our cars, the new Pagani Automobili factory has been designed by our design studio and the project was led by Leonardo and Christopher Pagani, the sons of Horacio.
While in France, visiting the Chateau de la Grenerie, (a castle owned by a longtime Pagani customer), Horacio got inspired by a greenhouse he saw during a walk in the surrounding area. The original iron structure is still clearly visible and it’s been designed by French engineer Eiffel; he then falls in love with his style and decides to adopt it.

During a day spent in Maranello, Ferrari's home town, I went to San Cesario sul Panaro to see the Pagani Automobili factory. I was lucky enought to see the new Pagani, the Huayra, driving on the road.
In the video you can hear some loud revs with nice backfires, a very fast acceleration and many other driving scenes.
The Pagani Huayra is moved by a twin turbo V12 AMG engine which can produce a power of 730 cv and a max torque of 1000 Nm.

Here another video from my special week-end spent in Maranello during the Centennial Gathering of Maserati, the MASERATI100, so be sure to watch every video in the playlist I've created for.
Maranello is a little city in the center of the italian Motor Valley, an incredible land for each petrolhead for the presence of the most important supercars manufacturer of the world. Indeed here you can find the Ferrari (Maranello), the Lamborghini (Sant'Agata Bolognese), Pagani (San Cesario sul Panaro), Maserati (Modena), Stanguellini (Modena) and more else.
Maranello is the heaven of the Prancing Horses's lovers because you could see many Ferraris simply standing in front the famous Factory, including all the new models Ferrari has going to lauch for sale. Also you could be lucky enough to see old legends like the 288 GTO, F40 or Ferrari Enzo went in the city for the service. At last be sure to visit the GALLERIA FERRARI, the biggest collection of rare Ferrari of the world.
In this video a stunning red Ferrari California with italian driving licence plate read for a Test Drive outside the museum giving me the possibility to film it in each detail like rims, engine, interior, the logo of the Cavallino.
The Ferrari California is a grand touring sports car produced by the Maranello's Prancing Horse since 2008. The car is a two-door 2+2 with a retractable hard top which transforms the California from a coupé into a spider in a mere 14 seconds.
This wonderful supercar is powered by a 4,3 litre V8 engine with gasoline direct injection which develops 460 hp and a torque of 485 Nm, enough to push the California to 0-100 Km/h in only 3,9 seconds for a top speed of over 310 Km/h.
The Ferrari California inherits many technologies from its sisters Ferrari F430 and Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano like the Manettino for the drive settings and the F1 Launch Control, but it's also equipped by many news which will be used on the future new Ferrari models. In fact, the California is:
- The first Ferrari featured with a 7-speed dual-clutch trasmission;
- The first Ferrari mounting a V8 front engine;
- The first Ferrari with a retractable metal roof;
- The first Ferrari with direct petrol injection.
At the 2012 Geneva Motor Show Ferrari presented an upgrade of the supercar, named Ferrari California 30 to recall the +30 hp and the -30 Kg of this restyling, that make the car reach the 100 Km/h in 3,8 seconds.
In 2013 was introduced a new version named Ferrari California 30 Handling Speciale (or California HS) with special rims and silver colored grilles and roof.
At the 2014 Geneva Motor Show was unveiled a new edition of California named Ferrari California T, where the T standing for Turbo. This updated Ferrari California is featured by an inedited V8 3.8 litre twin turbo engine, evolution of Maserati Quattroporte’s one, which can develops 560 hp (+80 hp of a normal California) and an incredible torque of 755 Nm (+50% of a normal California).
This engineering jewel allows the Ferrari California T to reach the 100 km/h in only 3,6 seconds, the same time of a Ferrari Enzo, for a top speed of 316 Km/h (+4 Km/h faster than the old model).
Thanks to its incredible design, inspired to past models like the Ferrari 250 Testarossa, by Pininfarina made the Ferrari California one of the best selling Ferraris ever with a daily production of 27 cars (6.000 per year) for a current balance of over 8000 pieces sold.
