HIKING AT RETEZAT NATIONAL PARK : TRANSYLVANIA ROAD TRIP PART 9 | ROMANIA

We are now venturing to explore the Retezat National Park. It took us a couple of hours driving from Sarmizegetusa to reach the parking area to start the hiking at the Retezat Mountains. It is quite an adventure. The scenery while doing the trekking is amazing!! We saw 2 camping sites before reaching the Bucura Lake plus the campsite at the Bucura Lake itself. There are quite a few campers. The entire national park is extremely clean! Also, it is where one of the beautiful glacier lakes in Romania is located. The nature of Romania's Retezat National Park is exceptional!! It is part of the Carphatian Mountains and is located in Hunedoara County. We truly recommend to visit the national park for camping, trekking or just by sight seeing!!
