Schönbrunn - the amazing Imperial Palace in Vienna
Palace Schönbrunn is one the most visited attraction in Vienna, Austria. Incredibly beautiful gardens with perfect symmetry, fountains, a maze and labyrinth, a palm house and the imperial Zoo, declared Best European Zoo 2012, amaze thousands of tourists every year. Its park is also preferred place for a lot of people for jogging and walking.

A town in the hills
Just uploading this to let you know that I'm back from my journey. This is a small hillside town called Triesenberg, located in Liechtenstein, that small country between Austria and Switzerland in the Alps. Not only is the town really beautiful, but it also offers a spectacular view of the valley and surrounding mountains, and of course The Rhine, which flows through the valley on its way to the North Sea. If you ever find yourself travelling through Europe, make sure not to miss out on this lovely place!

St Stephan’s Cathedral is rising out of the centre as a Gothic reminder of another age.The most important religious building in Vienna, St. Stephen's Cathedral has borne witness to many important events in Habsburg and Austrian history and has, with its multi-coloured tile roof, become one of the city's most recognizable symbols.
Vienna is the world capital of opera and classical music.
You can experience the works of Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven and Strauss.
Ringstrasse is a circular boulevard of magnificent state buildings, palaces and hotels.
MariaTheresa’s Plaza holds a statue of Empress Maria Theresa, the only female to ascend to the Austrian throne.

Vienna, one of the great capitals of Europe, offers many attractions. We tour the cathedral then continue to the Belvedere Palace enjoying the spectacular gardens and Baroque architecture. Schonbrunn Palace was the summer home of the Hapsburgs, complete with its grand ballroom. Metro ride to Karlsplatz where we admire the Karlskirche, designed by Fisher von Ehrlach. Café of the Hotel Sacher serves up their famous Sachertorte, then we have a look at the Hofburg Palace, then finish up with a tram ride.

A few weeks ago, I posted a travel vlog about my trip to Austria, Hungary, & Czech Republic which showed a summary of spots we visited. In the next few weeks, I'll be posting episodes from the different legs of the trip that show more of what we did while exploring these three beautiful countries; starting with this!
In this video you'll get to see the beginning of our trip with Thai Airways from Manila to Bangkok to Vienna and our half-day tour around this magnificent city of Austria.
In Austria, I had the best croissant I've ever had in my life (trust me, I'm not exaggerating!) and tried my first mulled wine at one of their Christmas markets. I also got the opportunity to take a tour around the Schönbrunn palace which gave me a brief but good lesson on the history of their royals. Taking a tour around the city felt like walking around the museum as I loved every building on the streets, especially at Herrengasse, which in German means Street of the Lords or Lords Lane. I think the best memory I have of the wine capital and city of dreams, though, is our dinner at Alter Bach-Hengl. I utterly enjoyed the live music, as did every one else in the restaurant. It was refreshing to be around peopls so into music so as to dance and sing as one group while the musicians were performing live.
