Shanagolden is a small village located in County Limerick, Ireland. The village located on the R521 regional road between Foynes and Newcastlewest. It is situated west of the 'Golden Vale', an area of fertile agricultural land in the province of Munster. The 2006 Irish census placed the population at 292 people.

Kilkee is a small coastal town in County Clare, Ireland. It is in the parish of Kilkee, formerly Kilfearagh. Kilkee is midway between Kilrush and Doonbeg on the N67 road. The town is popular as a seaside resort. The horseshoe bay is protected from the Atlantic Ocean by the Duggerna Reef.

A horse gave a touching farewell to his owner before he was laid to rest. Wagner Lima died in a traffic accident at the age of 34 in Paraiba, Brazil. Lima's brother knew his best friend, a horse named Sereno, should attend the funeral. When the vehicle carrying the casket pulled up at a gathering of mourners, Sereno seemed to know Lima was in there. He reportedly smelled around the coffin and then laid his head on it. He also whimpered during the procession to the cemetery.
