We tasted scallops grilled in shell on charcoal and soaked in butter, Japanese oden, the fattiest melt in your mouth otoro sushi ever and more! After a long day of eating street food in Osaka we were still craving sushi and went to have the famous BUTTER EEL!

Dejima Island Nagasaki: Japan's Historical Sites - 長崎市出島 - Japan As It Truly Is
This is a more recently recreated museum of Dejima, the sequestered Dutch establishment during Japan's isolationist era, built from the remaining plans that showed what existed. There are nothing but a few stones from the original foundation which you can see through a transparent part of the floor, but it's still great to get an idea of what existed in this period of Japanese history.
About 20 Dutch inhabited Dejima from the 1630's, and introduced Japan to European and Asian goods and knowledge. They were strictly monitored and could only rarely leave the island a few times per year under guard. Over time they introduced Japan to knowledge (Rangaku; 蘭學), new maps, globes, medicine, deer hides, badminton, billiards, beer, coffee, chocolate, cabbage, clocks, tomatoes, a piano, and later, photography, as well as regular trade in silk, cotton, and sugar. They also purchased Japanese rice, lacquer ware, porcelain, copper, and silver.

The Golden Giant burger, costing 100,000 JPY or close to $1,000 went on sale in Tokyo this year to celebrate the new Imperial era, Reiwa. It's filled with wagyu beef, a 1 kilo patty, foie gras, lettuce, tomato, garlic saffron sauce, cheddar and in a gold leaf bun. But is it any good? When I run in rain, one old man invited me to his home. なかなか降り止まなかった雨は、午後になってようやく小ぶりになってきた。よし、じゃ、走り始めますか、と、テントをたたんで、荷物を装着し、走り始めたのですが、再び雨の降りが激しくなってきちゃいまして。雨宿りのスーパーに辿り着くまでに、びしょぬれ状態に。とりあえず、お腹がめっちゃ空いていたので、スーパーに入って、食材の買い込み。で、買い込んだ食材を、スーパー横に設置してあったテーブルに広げ、遅い昼食を食べていたところ・・・一人のおじさんが声をかけてきた。「自転車で旅をしているのかい？」ええ、ということで、オイラの旅話をしたところ、なんだかとても喜んでくれまして。で、おじさんが「魚は好きか？」と聞いてくるので、「ええ、好きですよ」と答えると「じゃぁ、ここで、ちょっと待っていろ。家の冷凍庫に腐るほどあるんでな。持って来てやるよ」と。いや、ありがたい。ん？ひょっとして、おじさん甘えさせてくれるのでは、と思い「できれば、今晩泊めていただけないですかね？」と無茶なお願いをしてみることに。そしたら「ん、いいよ」と即答してくれまして。今日も雨の中テント泊は勘弁、と思っていたので、涙がでるほど嬉しかった。

The city of Abashiri in Hokkaido is of little interest in terms of tourist site, however in winter which is probably the most interesting of all, the aurora icebreaker which is only available in winter during the period when the Okhotsk Sea freezes and turns into ice. the cruise lasts about 1 hour and had 3300 yen, quite expensive but that will be worth it.
