Vyborg is a town in, and the administrative center of, Vyborgsky District in Leningrad Oblast, Russia. It lies on the Karelian Isthmus near the head of the Vyborg Bay, 130 km to the northwest of St. Petersburg and 38 km south of Russia's border with Finland, where the Saimaa Canal enters the Gulf of Finland. Город расположен на берегу Выборгского залива, находящегося в северо-восточной части Финского залива. Это крупный экономический, промышленный и культурный центр Ленинградской области, порт на Балтике, важный узел шоссейных и железных дорог.

Выборг, основанный в Средние века шведами, с 2010 года является единственным историческим поселением на территории Ленинградской области. До 1940 года это был второй по величине город Финляндии.
