South Bend is a city in and the county seat of St. Joseph County, Indiana, United States, on the St. Joseph River near its southernmost bend, from which it derives its name. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total of 101,168 residents; its Metropolitan Statistical Area had a population of 318,586 and Combined Statistical Area of 721,296. It is the fourth-largest city in Indiana, serving as the economic and cultural hub of Northern Indiana.   • 1. Clifty Falls State Park Madison Indiana
    Clifty Falls State Park is an Indiana state park on 1,416 acres in Jefferson County, Indiana in the United States. It is 46 miles northeast of Louisville, Kentucky. On Oct. 27, 1920, citizens of Madison, Indiana gave the land for the park, 570 acres , to the state of Indiana at the suggestion of Richard Lieber. This was after a year's work by the citizens. A system of naturalist programs for Indiana state parks started in 1927, with Clifty Falls being one of the first four with one.The park features Clifty Creek, Little Clifty Creek, and a canyon in which the sun only shines during midday. It has many beautiful nature trails, especially those that go near Clifty Falls. The Clifty Inn is available for overnight guests, and the park contains a campground with sites for RV and tent campers.

    O'Bannon Woods State Park is a 2,000-acre state park in the state of Indiana, 32 miles west of Louisville, KY. O'Bannon Woods was originally known as the Wyandotte Woods State Recreation Area, which was part of the Harrison-Crawford State Forest. Its main attraction is Wyandotte Caves, which contain over nine miles of underground caverns and one of the world's largest underground mountains. The Blue River runs through the park. Indiana DNR lists it as one of their Seven Hidden Jewels. The park was named for former governor Frank O'Bannon and houses the O'Bannon Woods Interpretive Center, which offers exhibits and nature programs year round.

    The Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge is a National Wildlife Refuge located three miles east of Seymour, Indiana, on U.S. Route 50. Established in 1966, it comprises 7,802 acres in its main area of eastern Jackson and western Jennings counties, and an additional 78 acres in northwestern Monroe County, near Bloomington, Indiana, known as the Restle Unit. It was established thanks to the selling of Federal Migratory Waterfowl Stamps, commonly known as Duck Stamps, by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. It was Indiana's first National Wildlife Refuge. The name comes from the Muscatatuck River, which means land of winding waters. Converted farm lands comprise 60% of the total land area of the refuge.     Stapp's Circle S Ranch was a non-profit, educational petting zoo located in Greensburg, Indiana, United States.The mission of the ranch is to educate people, especially children, about animals from around the globe. The ranch was started by Jim and Theresa Stapp about 2001, first as a family hobby, then developing into a local attraction. Every year the facility has grown in number and breeds of animals, and the number of visitors. The ranch acquired two tiger cubs, a Siberian and an Indo-Chinese tiger cub, in late June, 2010. The ranch had also at one time collaborated with Jeff Watson and the Greensburg Grizzly Adventure, and hosted the famous grizzly, Brody the Bear.
