Melbourne, at the head of Port Phillip Bay, is Australia's second largest city and the capital of the south-eastern state of Victoria.

Melbourne is famous for being capable of showing 'four seasons in one day' and has a temperate climate with distinct seasons and usually mild weather. Melbourne is the third-driest capital city in Australia with half of Sydney's rainfall (at 600mm) and is good to visit year-round. Days in Summer have an average high of 26°C, though days above 35°C occur sporadically as it is the warmest season with the lowest rainfall (and fewest rainy days). Autumn and Spring are similar temperatures, hovering around 21°C averages, however there are an average of 11 days with rainfall for each of the Autumn months (March-May), compared to 14 days for each Spring month (Sep-Nov).

Sharks of Shipwreck Cove
This summer, Melbourne Aquarium will launch a brand new underwater adventure; Sharks of Shipwreck Cove.
Featuring a full-scale replica of a shipwreck looming from the darkness of the 2.2 million litre Oceanarium, the exhibit creates the feeling of being submerged at the bottom of the ocean surrounded by shark infested waters.
Showcasing over 20 iconic Australian sharks never before seen in Melbourne, Shipwreck Cove exhibits White Tip and Black Tip, Dusky Whaler, Whiskery and Tawney Nurse juvenile sharks.
Interactive presentations and stunning visuals are sure to entertain and educate about the amazing sharks that call Australia home.
With daily shark feeding frenzies and heaps of exciting pirate-themed activities, there's fun for the whole family.

In developing a long-term ICT strategy in 2011, ICT Manager Ian Steel wanted to create a technology infrastructure that would support any and all curriculum needs for the next 5-8 years.
The overall strategy was to achieve a level of flexibility that could deliver any curriculum, anywhere, anytime, on any device.
In August 2011, the time looked right. Impressed by new client virtualisation technology from VMware, Ian and his team began working intensively with long-term educational IT partner Computelec and its vendors to make the dream a reality.
It was also important not to increase the school's overall ICT expenditure. To achieve this, Computelec helped Mazenod shift budget previously spent on end devices to centralised server and storage resources.
