Fenghuang not only has great natural beauty but also an ancient history that spans 1300 years with distinctive, residential buildings and celebrated men. Two men from the Chinese Republican era were born in this small city. Xiong Xiling, the first premier of the Republic of China and Shen Congwen, a famous Miao scholar.
A very imposing house belonged to Chen Baozhen, a powerful general, Chinese statesman and reformer in Qing times. All interesting even though we had never heard any of these names before.

03:17-03:25 Five Finger Peak, Pingyuan county 平遠五指石 - one hour spine-chilling walk with striking view of the peak. They even have a nerve-wrecking glass version of the walkway.
03:26-03:36 discovered a beautiful tea mountain on our way to YungDing. Met the lovely tea-farming ladies who asked us to stay and have dinner in their house.
03:38-03:48 Yongding Tulou 永定土樓 - circular configuration surrounding a central shrine built of a composite of earth, sand, and lime. Designated as UNESCO World Heritage site in 2008
03:56-04:08 Meijiang River 梅江河 - approximately 45 minutes river cruise with a lady performing Hakka folk songs

1. Beijing

On its south bank is 5-story Leifeng Pagoda, a modern reconstruction of a structure built in 975 C.E.

Guiyang is the capital of Guizhou province of Southwest China. It is located in the center of the province, situated on the east of the Yunnan–Guizhou Plateau, and on the north bank of the Nanming River, a branch of the Wu River. The city has an elevation of about 1,100 meters (3,600 ft). It has an area of 8,034 square kilometers (3,102 sq mi).[1] During the 2010 census, its population was 4,324,561, out of whom 3,037,159 lived in the 7 urban districts.
塔公木雅金塔 Muya Golden Pagoda (China)
木雅金塔位於四川省康定縣新都橋鎮塔公鄉境內,是由寧瑪派(紅教)六大佛寺之一的竹慶寺活佛多吉扎西活佛捐資於1997年建造的,建造時共用了一百多公斤的黃金(也有說是八十公斤黃金),據說寺廟開光時,天空出現五彩祥雲,七色光環.木雅金塔又名木雅尊勝塔,是多吉扎西活佛為紀念十世班禪大師於此灌頂布法而修建的佛塔.金塔位於雅拉神山,夏古冬青山,文殊山,觀音山等八座神山所環繞的中心,藏語稱“古汝塘”,意為“蓮師道場”.

The Fanjingshan (Chinese: 梵净山) or Mount Fanjing, located in Tongren, Guizhou province, is the highest peak of the Wuling Mountains in southwestern China, at an altitude of 2,572 m (8,438 ft).[1] The Fanjingshan National Nature Reserve was established in 1978 and designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1986.[1] The reserve covers a total area of 567 km2 (219 sq mi) and is a conservation area for primitive vegetation of the mid sub-tropic alpine region of western China. The rare gray snub-nosed monkey occurs only in a small region centering on Fanjingshan. It is also a sacred Buddhist mountain, a status it has held since the Ming dynasty.[1] Fanjingshan was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2018.[2]Buddhism
Fanjingshan is considered a sacred mountain of Chinese Buddhism, ranking just behind the Four Sacred Mountains of Buddhism. It is considered thebodhimaṇḍa (or daochang) of the Maitreya Buddha.[3] The influence of Buddhism reached Fanjingshan by the Tang dynasty at the latest, especially after Hou Hongren (侯弘仁) constructed the Zhangke Road in 639, which facilitated transport in the mountainous region, and local gazettes record the construction of several temples in the area.[3] More temples were built during the ensuing Song and Yuan dynasties.[3]
