Tyssedal is a village in Odda municipality in Hordaland county, Norway. The village is located on the shore of the Sørfjorden about 6 kilometres north of the town of Odda. Tyssedal is located in an environment in a valley between the fjord to the west and the mountains leading up to the Hardangervidda mountain plateau to the east.

1. Latefossen Odda
Låtefossen or Låtefoss is a waterfall located in the municipality of Odda in Hordaland County, Norway. The 165-metre tall waterfall is unique and thus it is a well-known tourist attraction in the area. It is special in that it consists of two separate streams flowing down from the lake Lotevatnet, and as they fall, the join together in the middle of the waterfall, just before going under the Norwegian National Road 13, making for a spectacular view as one drives over the old, stone, six-arched bridge.

2. Steinsdalsfossen Waterfall Norheimsund
Steinsdalsfossen is a waterfall in the village of Steine in the municipality of Kvam in Hordaland county, Norway. The waterfall is located about 2 kilometres west of the large village of Norheimsund which sits along the Hardangerfjorden.The waterfall is one of the most visited tourist sites in Norway. From the parking lot, the path goes along the waterfall, up a hill, and behind it where visitors can walk dryshod into the rumbling water. Steinsdalsfossen is 46 metres high, with a main drop of 20 metres , and has the greatest volume when the snow melts in May and June. Steinsdalsfossen is part of the Fosselva river that comes from the water of the lake Myklavatnet, located 814 metres above sea level in the mountains above the waterfall.

3. Buarbreen Odda
Buarbreen or Buerbreen is a glacier in the municipality of Odda in Hordaland county, Norway. It is an offshoot of the large Folgefonna glacier. The small glacial arm reaches down into the Buerdalen valley, just 6 kilometres southwest of the town of Odda. The glacier is split into two parts, one on either side of a small mountain peak. Both sides drain into the Jordalselvi river which flows out through the valley into the lake Sandvinvatnet.

Hike to Trolltunga, Norway in HD

TROLLTUNGA (One of the most beautiful places in the world)

Trolltunga (Troll's tongue) - a rock with a distinctive shape located in Norway on the border of the Hardangervidda plateau, around 1,100 meters above sea level and 700 meters above Lake Ringedalsvatnet, 10 kilometers east of the town of Tyssedal.

The rock is becoming an increasing attraction of Norway. Thanks to numerous publications and rankings, in which Trolltunga very often occupied leading positions, the place is visited by an increasing number of tourists from all over the world, often visiting Norway only for the weekend and only for this place. The American online magazine The Huffington Post recognized Trolltunga as the best place to do selfies in the world.
Considered one of the ten best hiking destinations.*

Norwegian Legacy - Episode 04: Trolltunga

A hike to one of the most spectacular destinations in Norway: The Trolltunga (Troll's Tongue). Starting from the village of Odda, it was a 22 km hike in one day, a day to remember.

We did it! Trolltunga - the king of hikes

One of Norway’s most challenging hikes open to tourists, Trolltunga (also known as Troll Tongue) is magnificent. We walked over 28 km in 12 hours, and the views are both, worth the journey and can’t be quickly forgotten.

Hiking to Trolltunga is a challenge, but it can be done even if you are not as fit. What matters is the desire to complete it but being well prepared and in good company certainly helps!
