Viitasaari is a town and municipality of Finland. It is located in the Central Finland region. The town has a population of 6,295 and covers an area of 1,589.13 square kilometres of which 340.43 km2 is water. There are all together 230 lakes in Viitasaari. Biggest lakes are Lake Keitele, Lake Kolima and Muuruejärvi. The population density is 5.04 inhabitants per square kilometre . The municipality is unilingually Finnish.

The Puijo tower is an observation tower at the top of Puijo hill in Kuopio, Eastern Finland. Opened in 1963, the tower is 75 metres tall and has a revolving restaurant with 100 seats. It was the first tower with a revolving restaurant in the Nordic countries. The restaurant was an inspiration to Erkki Lindfors, the mayor of Tampere, who got the idea to build a similar one in his home town, resulting in the Näsinneula tower, which opened in 1971. The current Puijo tower has been visited by over 5.5 million tourists. The current tower is the third overall. When it was completed in 1963 the second one, built in 1906, was dismantled. The first tower was built in 1856. On the western side of the tower there are three ski jumping hills.

Ähtäri is a town and municipality of Finland. It is located in the Southern Ostrobothnia region. The town has a population of 5,788 and covers an area of 910.87 square kilometres of which 105 km2 is water. The population density is 7.19 inhabitants per square kilometre . The municipality is unilingual Finnish. Ähtäri is known for its zoo and hotel Mesikämmen designed by Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen which is partly built within bedrock. The biggest lake in the area is Ähtärinjärvi. There is also a relatively old and small board mill called Vääräkosken Pahvi in Ähtäri. The largest private sector employers are Inhan Tehtaat, Silver-Veneet, Tankki, and Muovilami.

VW Roadrip 2017 - Norway, Sweden & Finland

I welcome you to see our amazing 1988 Volkswagen Buss (T25 for the enthusiasts). The summer of 2017 me, Anna, Niklas and Rebecca went on a three weeks long roadtrip through the Nordic countries Norway, Sweden and Finland.

We got to see some amazing views and had a good time in many places among the road; Geiranger, Trondheim, Lofoten, Kiruna, Överkalix, Rovaniemi, Viitasaari and Helsink, among many other.

I hope to get on the road soon again, I miss you guys.
