Smog creates serious problems in China. Residents of the northern city of Shenyang million have breathing problems and stinging eyes.
The air quality in northeast China is so bad that the authorities advise people to stay indoors. People who want to go outside, such as Shenyang, still only come out of their homes with gas masks and face masks on.
Since China began three years ago with the release of data on air quality, there are not such bad values measured as now.
Stoke
As the winter sets in, firing the millions of inhabitants of Shenyang coal to heat their homes. Stone coal plants are working hard and constantly emit large amounts of smog in the air. Visibility is therefore in many places less than 100 meters. Too many cars provide much uitstoot.Uit checks reveal that more than a third of China's population constantly polluted air is alive. The air that they breathe, is comparable to the effect of a number of cigarettes per day.
Thus, the concentration of PM2.5, the most harmful particulates, in some places higher than 1400 micrograms per cubic meter of air. And while the maximum is 25 micrograms a man can have in a day, according to the World Health Organisation.
Fine dust penetrates deep into the lungs and caused widespread damage. Thousands of Chinese die every week of cardiovascular and lung diseases caused by air pollution. Doctors in the region have in recent days nonstop treated people who have problems with their airways and literally are sick of bad air they breathe.

SONGPAN THE OLDEST TOWN OF SICHUAN PROVINCE
Hello everyone,We stayed 2 nights in Songpan old town.Of all the town we visited, Songpan is my favourite town.(This is the entrance oldest building when you enter Songpan town by night). It is small, but yet there is western food serve in a few fast food shop and restaurant.Good coffee is serve in few corners too.(Look of Entrance to the old town by day)A few shopping such as clothing and so many fruits along the road side are up for grabs and it is cheapThe reason we stayed here is for us to see the Huanglong Nature park, the Mounigou waterfall and Jade Lake.Huanglong Nature ParkHuanglong has a many big and small ponds. At this time we were here, it is almost dry and icey. However, we still able to see the beauty of Huanglong nature park.2 nights was good enough for us.In Mounigou WaterfallThis waterfall is pretty and has a long stretch to walk down to see the over all fall.It took us about 2 hour from the start to finish.Walking up and to walk down back to the car park.My best moment in Mounigou Waterfall is the streams of water flowing between the trees.Jade lakeOf all this 3 nature I mentions here, Jade lake fascinates me much of the colours. No wonder it is name Jade lake. These are the most and best 3 things you can do when you are in Songpan.Of course, do not missed out the shopping for winter clothes. They are reasonable in price and quality. Just do not buy fake brand name bags. This is the place we stayed in Songpan. ( will follow up the correct address)From Songpan, our 10 Day tour with rented car that cost as RMB 750 per day indeed and we will be back to Chengdu, get our flight there to Singapore. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.As always❤️ elvie lins#thingstodoinchina

New Tile House Hakka Cultural District
The New Tile House Hakka Cultural District is neither new, nor a single house, but rather a cluster of single-story buildings made of bricks (some fired, some mud) and tiles. Not much happens here on weekdays, but visit on a weekend and you might see cultural groups presenting music or dance performances.

Shi Family Fish Balls
Located southwest of Hsinchu Railway Station, this restaurant has been praised by hundreds of netizens. It's an old-school eatery: There’s no English sign or menu, and not one dollar has been wasted on fancying up the décor.

Zhulian Temple
This hall of worship is at the Buddhist end of the theological spectrum, but you’ll also see traditional folk practices. One is the casting of pairs of crescent-shaped wood blocks known to Taiwanese-speakers as poe.

Qiding Station
There's no staff at this station, nor vending machines from which you can buy tickets. Hsinchu to Qiding is NT$21.
Landscape Platform
It takes just a few minutes to get from the station to the platform. Gazing out over the Taiwan Strait, as the wind turbines that dot this stretch of coast slowly rotated and the occasional express train rumbled past, was a soothing experience.
Zimu Tunnel
When this railway line was double-tracked in the early 1970s, it was moved slightly closer to the sea because the tunnels (there are actually two) were too narrow. Exemplars of the solid infrastructure built during the 1895-1945 Japanese colonial period, they're now preserved as part of a walkway/bike trail. The first tunnel is 67m long, the second nearly double that. No flashlights are needed; there's enough natural light for you to see where you're walking.
Xiangshan Station
The lovingly maintained station building in Xiangshan is an attraction in its own right. Dating from 1928, it’s the only remaining Japanese-era railway stop in Taiwan that was built using cypress from the Alishan area in the central mountains.
Xiangshan Tianhou Temple
The current building dates from the 1920s, but there’s been a shrine on this site since sometime in the late 17th century, when Han Chinese from Fujian (the mainland China province closest to Taiwan) began to settle on the coast here. Like the majority of Taiwan’s folk shrines, this temple houses effigies of several deities, but the principal object of veneration is Mazu, the Goddess of the Sea.

Jin Li Ancient Street - Food, Shopping, and Fun | This is Chengdu, China
When we arrived at the gate of Jin Li Pedestrian Street, we were scared. It was packed with people. We made the mistake of going during the Chinese holiday, Mid-Autumn Festival. Luckily, we didn't chicken out. The street is made-up to look like an ancient Chengdu commercial street, which is exactly what it was 1800 years ago. We checked out the many souvenirs (lots of Panda stuff!), browsed the amazing food, and soaked in all the incredible sights. There's a ton to see on Jin Li Street. Make sure to bring your camera and an appetite.
