What's up with Huntsville Ghost Walks?
Hey guys! Katie here again with another vlog for iHeartHsv.com. Today, I thought I’d go on the Ghost Walk downtown to get into the spooky spirit (ha, get it?!).
The Walk
I bought my ticket for the Ghost Walk at Harrison Brothers Hardware on the square and was met with a tough decision: do I take the Old Town, the Downtown, or the Twickenham tour? All three tours are about 2 hours long, but they each have their own ghost stories. I chose the Twickenham tour this time, whose path takes us past antebellum homes, the Pope Mansion, and the Helion Lodge #1. Our tour guide, Bob, gave us the safety spiel and we were off! Although the evening unexpectedly turned dark and stormy, Bob spun spooky tales and revealed ghostly encounters at each of the stops. I’ve lived in Huntsville most of my life, but I hadn’t heard most of the stories Bob told us!
The Experience
The tours run from 6 p.m. to about 8 p.m. every Saturday from June through October and all meet at Harrison Brothers Hardware. Additional tours are offered on Fridays and at 8:30 p.m. in October. A trolley tour is also offered, which visits Maple Hill Cemetery and Huntsville Hospital, along with other locations just a bit too far to walk. Photos are encouraged on all the tours, and who knows, you may capture an image of a ghost!

McKamey Manor: Inside America's most extreme haunted house experience
Warning: this video contains graphic scenes. McKamey Manor is one of the most extreme haunted house experiences in the US. Located in Russ McKamey’s San Diego backyard, the full ‘haunt’ lasts eight hours, yet no one has managed to complete it. McKamey has amassed a cult following online and there is a 27,000 waiting list, but does is his event cross the line from fright to torture?

Haunted house in Tennessee offers $20,000 prize for finishing, requires 40-page waiver
If you are a fan of extreme scares, this haunted attraction may be even too terrifying for you. Apparently, no one has had the guts to finish the experience yet.
MCKAMEY MANOR Presents Christina B. (Round Two)
This is the 2nd time Christina has taken the MM tour. This film is more of a documentary look at her experience, and not the typical fast paced account. You'll see expanded footage of the Pick-Up zone for example that will explain a lot of things that people are concerned about. Normally I don't show the behind the scenes secrets, but for this film I did. You'll also notice not a lot of edits in certain parts of the film, just extended single shots. Again, this is more of a documentary look at her time here at MCKAMEY MANOR.

A Major League Baseball Legend - Field Of the Forgotten
Today we visited an abandoned baseball field. This place was definitely a gem. This is a unique abandoned place and ive never been to a place like this. This was the old stadium for the Nashville sounds and they might want to renovate depending on how things go. This place will be demolished sometime this year glad we got to visit this place.

SCAM FRAUD ALERT McKamey Manor Haunted house requires 40-page waiver WIN $20,000

McKamey Manor touts itself as the scariest haunted house in the country. There’s a location in Summertown, Tennessee, and Huntsville, Alabama, according to the website.
Russ McKamey owns and operates the terrifying experience, which appears to take more than 10 hours to complete. People can take the tour by themselves, which is called “Desolation,” or they can take part in a two-person “personalized interactive experience.”
In order to participate, a reservation has to be made and the haunted house fan must be 21 or older. Then they must go through a lengthy screening process.
Fact checking and tackling the issues
The show tackles social, political, and cultural issues from different perspectives using down to earth common sense as well as humor and basic logic and critical thinking while attempting to function outside the box. We will be discussing true crime as well as unsolved mysterious crimes, current events, political theater, as well as hot mess reality entertainment. We apologetically fact check! We hope to change hearts and minds to bridge ideologies while attempting to find answers to some unanswered questions.

In Texas, a Museum for a Larger-Than-Life Hero, Sam Houston
From |
Sam Houston was larger than life. The city of Huntsville, Texas, has a 20-meter-tall statue of him. It is said to be the largest statue of any American hero. Nearby, the Sam Houston Memorial Museum holds many of his belongings. Patrick Nolan is the director.
PATRICK NOLAN: He is really the only man in our history who was president of an independent country, also governor of two different states, the only man to have that distinction, Tennessee and Texas, United States senator from Texas, commanding general in a very successful war.
Sam Houston suffered personal and political defeats early in life. In 1832, he joined American settlers in what was then the Mexican territory of Texas.
PATRICK NOLAN: The idea of remaking yourself, of re...kind of...constituting your career, if you will, was there, and Texas was an opportunity to do that.
Sam Houston led Texas rebels to victory against a larger Mexican army at the battle of San Jacinto in 1836. Texas won independence from Mexico before joining the United States. Houston became governor of the new state, but was forced to retire to his farm in Huntsville in 1861. Nolan says Houston refused to sign an oath to support rebellious southern states against the north.
PATRICK NOLAN: He would not take that oath to support the Confederacy. He would resign -- he didn't resign, he would be dismissed, he would be fired before he would do it.
The Civil War was still being fought when Sam Houston died at his home in 1863. James Haley has studied his life. He says Sam Houston and his wife owned slaves, but paid them for extra work. He says Houston angered many southerners because he opposed efforts to expand slavery to other states.
JAMES HALEY: Every year, he had a speaking tour up the Ohio Valley, through Pennsylvania, New York and into New England. That was really the center of his political strength, because he was unpopular in the South because of his stance against slavery.
Sam Houston predicted the Civil War years before the fighting started.
JAMES HALEY: The South will go down, I think he said, in a sea of smoke and ruin and that will be the end of the South as we know it, and the North will think they've won this big victory. He said the North will have its own price to pay; they will reap a harvest of assassination.
One week after the main Confederate army surrendered, President Abraham Lincoln was murdered. Haley says Sam Houston freed all his slaves before he died. The money he gave them helped some become educated and start businesses. Sam Houston continues to interest people, and his influence in Texas remains strong. I'm Barbara Klein.
Two Ghostly Figures Caught At Martha Chapel Cemetery On Google Maps
The first spirit is of a child peeking out from a tree and this is an clear image so we can see that this entity is greyish in appearance and if you decide to have a look for yourself using the coordinate that i have provided you can see the other people there and their skin tone is normal.
The second is of something hooded, dressed all in black by some gravestones and doesn't seem as if it belongs there.
Martha Chapel Cemetery is located in Huntsville, Texas & the coordinate was sent to me by someone who wishes to remain anonymous but because of this doesn't mean that this is fake as the only people the could have photoshopped these images would have to work for google maps and my source doesn't work for them.
