West Cliff Drive is one of the most beautiful features of the California Coastal Trail in Santa Cruz. This area is also the site of where surfing was first brought to North America, introduced by three young Hawaiian princes in 1885. West Cliff Drive is also home to the grand Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf, the longest municipal wharf on the West Coast of the United States.(kcet.org)

Santa Cruz CA Historic Homes
Santa Cruz CA Historic Homes
Are you a history buff? Well, if you are, you have come to the right place!
The town of Santa Cruz, the downtown area is rich in history and the homes here show it.
I just saw this listing on the market that is an old craftsman style historic home for sale. This home was build in 1913 and I would love to show it to you. The lot that this home sits on is over 5,000 square feet. It is secluded and private yet you can walk to the movies, to the stores, everywhere downtown. What’s not to love about that!
Another craftsman style home I drove by the other day was one listed at just over $1M in the coveted Prospects Heights neighborhood. This home was built in 1908. If you like the historic craftsman style architecture you will love this home. Call me and I will set up a time for you to see this beauty.
If bungalows are more your style, I know one that is for sale right now that is in perfect mint condition. Bungalows are historic homes with several of them being just a few minutes walk to the beach. California Bungalows date back to the 1920’s.
Historic homes in Santa Cruz include ocean views and downtown locations.
Currently the highest priced historic home for sale is one listed at $6,495,000. This home was built in 1913. The ocean views are amazing!
There is a nice variety of different historic architectural styles in Santa Cruz, downtown and close to the beach.
Who doesn’t love to walk to the beach, kick off the flip flops and wiggle their toes in the sand?
This home is currently on the market for $2,980,000. It was built in 1931 in West Cliff! This is the sought after Mission Revival style which is perfect for you who like the old mission style that so much of coastal California is known for. Mission revival homes were built starting in 1900.
One of my favorite historic home styles in Santa Cruz is the Queen Anne style which were built back in the 1890’s. Check out the property with the fun colors and attention to detail.
