We drove from Lone Pine at. 9:00 a.m., and the temperature was 88˚F. We arrived at the hotel Cedar Lodge at. 2:00 p.m.
We had some stops to look at the nature.
In the afternoon we drove into Yosemite Valley and up to Glacier Point. Nice view.

World Famous Yosemite Valley National Park Visitor Center
Open: Open daily. Open May - October. November to April, permits are available at the Valley Visitor Center (open 9 am to 5 pm).
The Valley Wilderness Center is located between the Ansel Adams Gallery and the Post Office in Yosemite Village, near the Valley Visitor Center. Park at Yosemite Village Day Use Parking. From day use parking, it's about a five-minute walk (follow the green signs). Or, take the free shuttle bus to the Valley Visitor Center. Tuolumne Meadows Wilderness Center
Open: Approximately late May to October 14 (conditions permitting). From mid-October to May, permits are available at the Tuolumne Meadows Ranger Station (self-registration).
The Tuolumne Meadows Wilderness Center is located just off the Tioga Road in Tuolumne Meadows. It is about one mile east of the visitor center. From the Tioga Road, follow signs for Tuolumne Meadows Lodge, Dog Lake, and Wilderness Permits. Parking is available at the wilderness center. Big Oak Flat Information Station
Open: May to October. When closed for the season, self-registration permits are available on the porch.
After passing through the entrance station, pull into the large parking area on your right. The information station is just to the left of the bathrooms. Wawona Visitor Center at Hill's Studio

The Wawona Visitor Center is within historic Hill's Studio, on the grounds of the Big Trees Lodge (formerly Wawona Hotel). Park at the Big Trees Lodge.
Yosemite on Horseback ~ Riding in Yosemite
Sierra Nevada outdoor adventure is part of the legacy of Yosemite national park. Mule and horse rides depart from the Valley Stables, Wawona and Tuolumne Meadows and include views of park icons such as Yosemite Falls, Half Dome and Vernal Falls.

Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Steam Train
All aboard! Take a ride on a re-created narrow gauge logging railroad! This week, we travel to the mountains just outside Yosemite National Park to visit a historic steam train. The Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad opened in 1962 and operates steam powered tourist trains through the mountains from April through October each year. The right of way was originally built by the Madera Sugar Pine Lumber Co. around the turn of the last century and was abandoned in the 1930's. Today, the railroad thrills thousands of guests each year on their way to and from Yosemite National Park.
