Driving on Delhi Eastern Peripheral Expressway (NE II) - India
Eastern Peripheral Expressway or National Expressway II (also EPE) is a 135 km (84 mi) long, six-lane expressway passing through the states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
The expressway starts from Kundli, Sonipat, passing through Baghpat, Ghaziabad and Noida districts in UP and Faridabad district in Haryana before finally joining the Western Peripheral Expressway near Palwal.
The expressway has been constructed at a cost of ₹11,000 crore (US$1.6 billion) to relieve traffic congestion in the Faridabad - Ghaziabad stretch and also to prevent pollution causing commercial vehicles from entering Delhi.
Government of India approved funding for the expressway in August 2015 on build-operate-transfer mode under NHDP Phase VI.
Eastern Peripheral Expressway is expected to divert more than 50,000 trucks away from Delhi and reduce air pollution in Delhi by 27%. The expressway was inaugurated on 27 May 2018 by the Prime Minister of India.

Chaotic traffic moves along a busy road in New Delhi
Dangerously driven trucks and poorly-versed bus drivers seem to flock to New Delhi! Random changing of lanes seems de rigueur - why would one bother to stick to a single lane when you have so many lane options?
Chaotic traffic moves along a busy road in New Delhi.
Delhi, officially the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT) that includes the Indian capital New Delhi, is the second most populous metropolis in India after Mumbai, with a population of 16.3 million in 2011. The city is also the eighth most populous metropolis in the world. The NCT and its urban region have been given the special status of National Capital Region (NCR) under the Constitution of India's 69th amendment act of 1991. The greater NCR urban, which includes the neighbouring cities Baghpat, Gurgaon, Sonepat, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida and other nearby towns, has nearly 22.2 million residents.
Delhi is known to have been continuously inhabited since the 6th century BC. Through most of its history, Delhi has served as a capital of kingdoms and empires. It has been invaded, ransacked and rebuilt several times, particularly during the medieval era, and therefore the modern city of Delhi is a cluster of many cities scattered across the metropolitan region. Delhi is also believed to have been the site of Indraprastha, the legendary capital of the Pandavas during the times of the Mahabharata. Delhi re-emerged as a major political, cultural and commercial city along the trade routes between northwest India and the Gangetic plain after the rise of the Delhi sultanates. It houses many ancient and medieval monuments, archaeological sites and remains.
In 1639 AD, the Mughal emperor Shahjahan built a new walled city in Delhi which served as the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1649 until the Rebellion of 1857. The British had captured Delhi by 1803 and George V announced in 1911 that the capital of British-controlled parts of India would be Delhi. A new capital city, New Delhi, was built to the south of the old city during the 1920s. When India gained independence from British rule in 1947, New Delhi was declared its capital and seat of government. The name Delhi is often also used to include urban areas near the NCT, and to refer to New Delhi, which lies within the metropolis. Although technically a federally administered union territory, the political administration of the NCT of Delhi today more closely resembles that of a state of India with its own legislature, high court and an executive council of ministers headed by a Chief Minister. New Delhi is jointly administered by the federal Government of India and the local Government of Delhi, and is the capital of the NCT of Delhi.

The highest Hanuman statue in India also moves?? Karol Bagh, Delhi
Hanuman temple in karol Bagh is one of the most popular Hindu temples in Delhi. The shrine is marked by the colossal 108ft statue of Lord Hanuman and can be seen from the both Jhandewalan and Karol Bagh metro station. Tuesdays are quite crowded here, despite the fact that the temple stays open every day. Other than the massive effigy of Lord Hanuman, which fairly does its job of attracting devotees and tourists, the entrance of the temple is also an attraction. The entrance door has been carved in a shape of the mouth of the deity and one can reach the main hall of the shrine through a passageway.
During the evening Aarti; the arms of Hanuman’s giant statuemove back, the chest slides open and the beautiful images of Lord Shri Rama & Devi Sita protrudes to give darshan (sight) to all the devotees. Certainly a dazzling sight!
Karol Bagh, also spelled as Qarol Bagh, is a mixed residential-cum-commercial neighbourhood in Delhi, India, known for its shopping streets, like the Ghaffar Market and Ajmal Khan Road. It is one of the three administrative subdivisions, of the Central Delhi district, of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, with the other two being, Darya Ganj and Paharganj.
It was also home to the Karol Bagh Lok Sabha constituency till it was abolished in 2008, now it is a Legislative Assembly of Delhi segment of the New Delhi constituency.

Rohtang pass Manali - Dangerous road but terrific scenic beauty
I traveled to Rohtang pass from manali in July, found snow there. Road from Manali to Rohtang is good for first 35 kms but 15 kms short of Rohtang you will experience as deadly road. Most dangerous road, where stones can fall any time on vehicle traffic. Some of my experiences about this route as shown in this video are shared below.
You may want to support this channel:
Distance from manali to Rohtang: 51 kms
Average time taken by taxi: 2 and a half hours.
Places to stop in between: Marhi - 35 kms from Manali
Rahalla waterfall: 28 kms from manali, good place to spend 15 to 20 minutes.
Type of road: Dangerous and risky, sharp turns, curves, landslide can happen any time, stones can fall on vehicle traffic.
Best time to travel:15th May to September, while you may travel there in November as well, but it is super cold, Rohtang pass is open for the period 15th May to 30th November, there after due to heavy snowfall roads closed.
Scenic beauty: Too good to be explained in one video, this is perhaps the reason why people travel this route despite experiencing dangerous roads with landslides that can prove fatal.
We experienced snow in July, did lot of playing in the snow.
Temperature at Rohtang pass on in 2nd week of July : 6 to 8 degrees.
Height : Located at 8050 feet above sea level.
Important suggestions basis my experiences about Rohtang: Try taking an exclusive taxi or go by HP tourism bus- start ealry in morning and try to reach back Manali by 5 pm. So your exposure to deadly roads is limited to daytime only.
Daily basis permit is given to only 1200 vehicles, be careful to book in advance especially during season time, permits can be an issue. If you are traveling through you own vehicle you can get permit online as well, cost of permit is Rs 550 for car or taxi.
Bikes do not get permit for Rohtang.
I saw a deadly accident on the way, a huge size stone had fallen on a car, Thank God nobody got injured, driver and fellow passenger got saved, incident shown in this video.
