1. Sita Ram & Son: About 70 year old shop famous located at 10 min distance from Mall road.

5. Jakhoo Temple: When Hanuman ji was going to Himalya’s for sanjeevani booti, he stopped at this hill for rest, since these its been ages that this temple is popular.

6. Mehru’s sweets: Famous for pure ghee sweets, i was also told that there jalebi and dooh is popular but when i visited there could not find it. Noticed chaat there - had bhalla papdi there.

7. Nathuram Lachhman Das: This is also a very old shop famous for sweets made with desi ghee. I was looking for jalebi and milk and found it here at this shop.

8. Hotel White: Sharing information about the hotel where i stayed in Shimla. I missed mentioning in the video, that this hotel does not have restaurant. If you need tea or snacks they make it available but from morning 7.30 am to evening 9 pm only.

9. Indian Institute Of Advanced Study: During British time this place was called as summer capital of Viceroy, later was convered as Rashtrapati Bhavan and now its Indian institute of foreign trade.
Lot of areas here is not open for public access, still viewers should visit this and enjoy the architecture.
During British time, this place was summer residence of viceroy of India. Later it became Rashtrapati Bhavan and it is known as Indian Institute Of Advanced Study.
10. Mehru’s Sweets: I enjoyed Poori chole here in breakfast. This place is about 6 kms from shimla mall road.

History :
Located in the proximity to the historic building of Red Fort, Jama Masjid is counted as the largest and the most beautiful mosque in India. Also known as Masjid-i-Jahan Numa, this colossal mosque is located in the Old Deli. Jama Masjid is located close to the hub of the city and is close to the main bazaar of Old Delhi, Chandni Chowk. It was commissioned by Shah Jahan, the great Mughal emperor. This magnificent and the principal mosque was built sometime between 1644 to 1656. If you are visiting Old Delhi, make sure to go to Jama Masjid.
Jama Masjid in Old Delhi reflects the true Mughal architecture of the period. The brilliant structure of the mosque along with the architectural splendor cost more than a million rupees during construction. 5000 employers were employed for the construction of this brilliant mosque. It is a major site for the Muslims from all over the world. Jama Masjid stands on a rocky elevated land and there are flights of steps that will lead you to the mosque.
The very phrase Masjid-i-Jahan Numa means the mosque commanding a view of the world. Weekly meeting for prayers are held inside the mosque on Fridays. The courtyard meant for prayer is huge and holds up to 20,000 people at the same time. For the whole Muslim community, Jama Masjid, Old Delhi is a sacred place to visit.
To enter the Jama Masjid, you can use the gates at the northern side and the southern side. The gate at the east remains open only on Fridays and was meant to be the entrance for the rulers in the past. During namaz and Muslim festival time, the whole mosque remains full of people. For the people of other community, specific time is mentioned.
Jama Masjid comprises a number of important relics near the north gate, which include a copy of the Qur'an scripted on deer skin. Built of red sandstone, the Jama Masjid faces towards west. The mosque measures 261 feet (80 m) in length and 90 feet in width. At the roof part, there are three domes and the highest one is covered with gold plates. The minerats are equally impressive and are divided in to galleries which are jutted out.
The dome of Jama Masjid is an important feature of the architecture of the structure. It is marked with black and white stripes. The prayer hall of this mosque is huge and has a total of 11 arches. Visit Jama Masjid, counted as one of the most beautiful monuments in India and get an enriching experience.
