GREENWICH NATIONAL PARK PEI ! Its a wonderful place with a great trail that leads to the Greenwich Beach.
The western tip of Greenwich, a peninsula that separates St. Peters Bay from the Gulf of St. Lawrence, became part of Prince Edward Island National Park in 1998 to protect and preserve the natural and cultural resources found in the area.
Greenwich features three hiking trails varying in length from 1.25 km to 4.5 km. The landscape varies from secluded wooded areas to open abandoned agricultural fields to spectacular vistas over Bowley Pond. All trails are equipped with interpretive signs, which explain the unique ecosystem and rich history of the area.
Greenwich Beach is part of PEI National Park . Greenwich Beach is one of those star attractions that Islanders try to keep for themselves. It has the largest sand dunes on the Island with boardwalks and trails that roll across the marshes and grass like something out of a storybook. The pristine sand seems to go on forever making it paradise for anyone who loves a long walk in the gentle waves. Greenwich Beach is outside the North Shore tourist areas so you stand a good chance for more room and privacy without sacrificing the amenities of other PEI National Park beaches.

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
Prince Edward Island is a beautiful Island here in Atlantic Canada.
I was actually born in Charlottetown, PEI and my parents and a few siblings still live on the Island.
Road Trip to PEI 2017
The girls and I head over there from Halifax, NS on our now Annual PEI Road Trip.
We were fortunate to get a fabulous cottage on the water last minute when our other accomodations fell through.
We stayed at The Heron View Cottage in North River, PEI and Loved it there. This fully equipped cozy 2 bedroom cottage can sleep up to 7 people. It has water views, a large deck and BBQ, a screened in gazebo, fire pit, and private beach.
We were only a short drive to Charlottetown and did some exploring in the city. We are also close to Keppoch Beach and headed there to play on the sandbars at low tide.
Somehow we managed to get involved in a Canada Day TV Special with Jonathon Torrens being filmed in Charlottetown and eagerly decked ourselves out in Red and White for the shoot. Lots of Fun!!
We took the ferry home from Wood Islands to Nova Scotia to extend the vacation a little longer....
The weather wasnt the greatest but it didnt stop us from enjoying this Special Place.

Basin Head Beach Prince Edward Island | 2019
Basin Head is a beautiful place to visit when in PEI.
Singing sands beach is great for a day of swimming, relaxing or bathing in the sun with the whole family.
Make sure you get there early as the beach and parking area fills up quick on a nice day.

My Favorite Place In PEI
Campbell's Cove, an outstanding place to enjoy the islands ever-changing mood with breathtaking scenery as your constant companion. It's a great location to stay and unwind for a bit. It's also a stone's throw away from the singing sand beaches on the other side of the island.

Checking out another red cliff beach, Rice Point, PEI. Walking along the beach, wading in the warm water, climbing the rocks, exploring sea caves and enjoying the view.
