He was the son of John Bligh, 3rd Earl of Darnley and succeeded his father as earl on the latter's death in 1781. He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford on 16 November, 1784. Cavendish is an unincorporated rural community in the township of Lot 23, Queens County, Prince Edward Island, Canada. The community's primary industries are tourism and agriculture supporting a very small year-round population. Cavendish is the largest seasonal resort area in Prince Edward Island with an average daily population in the months of July and August of approximately 7,500 residents. It was also home to Lucy Maud Montgomery, writer of Anne of Green Gables. She said she loved sitting by a window, and writing Anne of Green Gables while looking out the windows onto the fields of Cavendish.

8. Kouchibouguac National Park Saint Louis De Kent
Kouchibouguac National Park is located on the east coast of New Brunswick, in Kouchibouguac. The park includes barrier islands, sand dunes, lagoons, salt marshes and forests. It provides habitat for seabirds, including the endangered piping plover, and the second largest tern colony in North America. Colonies of harbour seals and grey seals also inhabit the park's 25 kilometres of sand dunes. It is also home to the extremely rare and fragile Gulf of St. Lawrence aster, though in 2006, storms eradicated most of the asters' colonies. The park's size is 238 km2 . Recreational activities in the park include swimming, cycling and hiking. In recent news, the park has reported sightings of the fisher marten in the area, making it one of the few places in New Brunswick that have fisher populations...

BEST lobster rolls in Prince Edward Island

Prince Edward Island, Canada is known for Anne of Green Gables, red dirt and seafood. I went in search of the very best lobster rolls in Prince Edward Island. I drove my Ford Mustang all around the province and over a 3 day period tried 7 different lobster rolls to find the very best. Starting with the Sea Salt Cafe onboard the Northumberland ferry from Nova Scotia to Prince Edward Island. I also had delicious lobster rolls at the Point Prim Chowder House and Oyster Bar, at the Water Prince Corner Shop, Lobster Barn, Richard's, Blue Mussel Cafe and Terry's Berries food truck. They were all delicious for various reasons but the lobster rolls from the Blue Mussel Cafe and Richard's were definitely my favorites.

GUERNSEY | Exploring the island and its beautiful beaches!

I visited Guernsey and walked 17km exploring some of the beautiful beaches, visited the Little Chapel, ate ice creams and toured the harbour.

THUNDER COVE BEACH IN PEI! A very beautiful place where you will get to see amazing rocks made from red sandstone.

Thunder Cove Beach is one of those hidden gems that locals try to keep for themselves. It’s off-the-beaten-path in Darnley, just outside of Kensington. While most of PEI’s north shore is known for epic rolling dunes and wide beaches of fine sand, Thunder Cove is so much different. The shore and beach is geologically diverse and a real-time example of how water and wind shape and change the Island landscape. The sandstone cliffs, columns (sea stacks) and cave formations are never the same way twice, completely at the mercy of a restless stone carver – nature! If you’re looking in the right direction, you can imagine you’re standing in the Arizona Desert. Well… if the desert overlooked the Atlantic Ocean. Cliffs and dunes surround the beach.

Be careful climbing the cliffs. Sandstone is fragile rock, which makes for gorgeous sand but tricky climbing. A short walk or kayak paddle away is a mesmerizing sea stack known as Teacup Rock. It’s best viewed in early morning when the water is calm and the sun is still low in the sky. Teacup Rock is made of sandstone and is very fragile.

Explore!!

I packed up my jeep...outfitted to sleep and live in for 1 week and head out from Halifax after work.
I took the ferry across and camped out on a beach until morning.
I started at the eastern end of the Island....So beautiful. In one of the little towns I passed through, I stopped at a local Sobeys for some food. It was Local Grown days and I was given a free lunch of Potatoes, yellow beans, Corn and beef stew. So Yummy!

After Completing the Eastern part, I head to Charlottetown, to see family and explore Central PEI.

The Western end of PEI is all very new to me, and I head off to explore. One thing that I notice as I head to North Cape....there are not as many beaches. But Thunder Cove featuring the Teacup Rock is along this route
After North Cape, I make my way to West Point as the sun is setting.
In Summerside, I find a spot by the Marina thanks to freecampsites.net and settle in for the night.
In the morning I walk around the Marina and watch some folks on the water Obstacle. I explore some parks, and beach and head back towards Charottetown to just about complete the loop.
I pick up my sister and drive towards Point Prim, and then a bit further east to close the loop and camp out on a beach....enjoying Island Life!!
I Explored quite a few of the Provincial Parks (15+), Over 20 Beaches, and close to 10 Lighthouse buildings. I will post some videos to show some of these and what they have to offer.
I also did this entire trip in my jeep...finding beaches and free campsites that I will feature in my blog soloexploreblog.wordpress.com
