BEST lobster rolls in Prince Edward Island
Prince Edward Island, Canada is known for Anne of Green Gables, red dirt and seafood. I went in search of the very best lobster rolls in Prince Edward Island. I drove my Ford Mustang all around the province and over a 3 day period tried 7 different lobster rolls to find the very best. Starting with the Sea Salt Cafe onboard the Northumberland ferry from Nova Scotia to Prince Edward Island. I also had delicious lobster rolls at the Point Prim Chowder House and Oyster Bar, at the Water Prince Corner Shop, Lobster Barn, Richard's, Blue Mussel Cafe and Terry's Berries food truck. They were all delicious for various reasons but the lobster rolls from the Blue Mussel Cafe and Richard's were definitely my favorites.

Thinking of doing a PEI Road Trip? Don''t miss this video on Prince Edward Island
Prince Edward Island (PEI) is the smallest of the Canadian Provinces, however what it lacks in size, it makes up for in grandeur. The rolling hills, rural towns and picturesque farms make a PEI road trip unforgettable.I spent a week doing a PEI Road Trip all over the province. See what I did and what I saw on this amazing Maritime, Canada road trip. For complete details, along with a road trip map, visit:

GREENWICH NATIONAL PARK PEI | CANADA
GREENWICH NATIONAL PARK PEI ! Its a wonderful place with a great trail that leads to the Greenwich Beach.
The western tip of Greenwich, a peninsula that separates St. Peters Bay from the Gulf of St. Lawrence, became part of Prince Edward Island National Park in 1998 to protect and preserve the natural and cultural resources found in the area.
Greenwich features three hiking trails varying in length from 1.25 km to 4.5 km. The landscape varies from secluded wooded areas to open abandoned agricultural fields to spectacular vistas over Bowley Pond. All trails are equipped with interpretive signs, which explain the unique ecosystem and rich history of the area.
Greenwich Beach is part of PEI National Park . Greenwich Beach is one of those star attractions that Islanders try to keep for themselves. It has the largest sand dunes on the Island with boardwalks and trails that roll across the marshes and grass like something out of a storybook. The pristine sand seems to go on forever making it paradise for anyone who loves a long walk in the gentle waves. Greenwich Beach is outside the North Shore tourist areas so you stand a good chance for more room and privacy without sacrificing the amenities of other PEI National Park beaches.

Prince Edward Island From tip to tip, Driving The full outside loop of the Island.
Driving from Halifax to Caribou NS 170 km
Ferry from NS to Wood Islands, PEI 75 minutes
Explore!!
I packed up my jeep...outfitted to sleep and live in for 1 week and head out from Halifax after work.
I took the ferry across and camped out on a beach until morning.
I started at the eastern end of the Island....So beautiful. In one of the little towns I passed through, I stopped at a local Sobeys for some food. It was Local Grown days and I was given a free lunch of Potatoes, yellow beans, Corn and beef stew. So Yummy!
After Completing the Eastern part, I head to Charlottetown, to see family and explore Central PEI.
The Western end of PEI is all very new to me, and I head off to explore. One thing that I notice as I head to North Cape....there are not as many beaches. But Thunder Cove featuring the Teacup Rock is along this route
After North Cape, I make my way to West Point as the sun is setting.
In Summerside, I find a spot by the Marina thanks to freecampsites.net and settle in for the night.
In the morning I walk around the Marina and watch some folks on the water Obstacle. I explore some parks, and beach and head back towards Charottetown to just about complete the loop.
I pick up my sister and drive towards Point Prim, and then a bit further east to close the loop and camp out on a beach....enjoying Island Life!!
I Explored quite a few of the Provincial Parks (15+), Over 20 Beaches, and close to 10 Lighthouse buildings. I will post some videos to show some of these and what they have to offer.
I also did this entire trip in my jeep...finding beaches and free campsites that I will feature in my blog soloexploreblog.wordpress.com
I hope you like Prince Edward Island, the full loop in 10 minutes!!

Digby, Nova Scotia: My Top Things To Do & See
Even if you’ve never been to the small seaside town of Digby, there’s a decent chance your taste buds have. It’s a gateway to Nova Scotia’s Bay of Fundy—home to the famous Digby scallops served in restaurants around the world. From its ageless fishing industry to its landmark buildings, history is very much alive in Digby, and there’s no time like the present to visit. In this video, we show you a few highlights for the ideal itinerary, starting at the Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa, the crown jewel of Digby’s accommodations. The resort was built in 1929 by the Canadian Pacific Railway, as evident by it’s grandiose look and castle like building that offers an incredible waterfront view that can best be enjoyed at the outdoor pool.
(SOLD) 178 Ship Wreck Shore Road Point Prim Waterfront across from Charlottetown PEI Real Estate
(SOLD) The Captains Watch Cottage was built in 2001 and was designed with the ideas of the owner and architect Jack Miller. Your new cottage was built to replicate typical Point Prim farm homesteads in a scaled down cottage version. This property, owned and farmed by the Gillis family for over 200 years was built on the top of the north-side of a 100 Acre farm overlooking Hillsborough Bay. The Gillis family landed from Scotland on the Polly ship surrounding the shores of the Captains Watch cottage in 1803. The panoramic views from the red cliffs of Captains Watch are spectacular. Your new escape overlooks the waters where the Polly ship sailed in from Scotland with the settlers in 1803. The name, Shipwreck Shores came from the knowledge of the dozens of ship wrecks off these shores during the golden age of sailing. You will enjoy the amazing sunsets as well as the many cruise ships coming to and from the Charlottetown Harbour. As well, you can enjoy a closer look from your observation deck nestled on the cliffs of Shipwreck Shores. Over the years, Point Prim has become a must-see area of Prince Edward Island and a sought-after area to vacation or summer seasonal residency. With an outstanding restaurant, #1 on Trip Advisor, the Chowder House is a real gem located at the end of the Point Prim road on the Northumberland Strait. As well, the oldest lighthouse on Prince Edward Island (1845) is located on Point Prim with a newly constructed museum and gift shop opening summer of 2017. Activities in the area include, clam digging, beach combing, great swimming, kayaking, biking and a great scenic golf course 10 minutes away in Belfast, Prince Edward Island. As well, there are many local artisians displaying and selling their work in the area. Wow! 24 HOUR A DAY OPEN HOUSE ON VIDEO!
