Top things to do in Northern Ireland - Ultimate Guide
In this video we continue to explore the best sights of Northern Ireland and drive up Northern Irelands costal route. We were so lucky with the weather, as you can see by the footage taken and we had another day of pure blue skies.
If you are in Belfast, have transport and are looking for the top things to do then look no further - this video will show you our best sites & attractions along the coastal road that we saw.
As we drove along Northern Irelands costal road - we stopped for lunch at Carnlough Harbour. What a wonderful scenic spot -Chris couldn't resist getting the drone shots of the harbour.
We stopped at White Park Bay and if your looking for an amazing white sand beach - then look no further - the bright blue skies make the footage and views even better.
On the north east corner of Northern Ireland is Torr Head - wow what wonderful views and it was well worth the drive and the short walk to the top of Torr Head.
Then we drove to Ballycastle and stopped for a great icecream and a walk along the seafront.
On our way tothe Giant's Causeway we stopped at Dunseverick castle and we were so pleased we did it was a really nice spot with walks along the cliff and we got some great drone shots.
The we arrived at the famous Giants Causeway. We arrived after the visitor centre was closed and so the admission was free of charge. We arrived at a perfect time and golden hour was upon us - the best time for filming - it was very quiet at this time of night and we had a nice relaxed walk down and again managed to fly the drone . - something that I don't think we would have been able to do during the normal opening hours.
We ended our day at the famous road - The Dark Hedges - which featured on the TV series - The Game of Thrones. I had heard that the road is normally full of photographers and it was hard to get a good shot - we arrived late in the evening and there was only one other couple there so we managed to get some great shots with no one else in the shot !!
We had a fab time and wouldn't hesitate saying that all of these sights are part of the top attractions in Northern Ireland.

Wild Atlantic Way Road Trip Vlog Series - Trying an Irish Seaweed Bath
Wild Atlantic Way Road Trip Vlog Series - Trying an Irish Seaweed Bath
In this episode we continue our adventure exploring the best that Ireland has to offer and our journey along the Wild Atlantic Way in our campervan - Trudy.
We drive back from Belfast and arrive in the town of Spiddal before driving North and arriving in the town of Leenaun. As we have toured the Wild Atlantic Way and when asking locals what are the top things to do in Ireland or what are the things we should try - many people have told us that you must try a seaweed bath.
In the coastal village of Leenaun, on the Wild Atlantic Way, is the Connemara Seaweed baths so we decided to book a spot. With our tight budget only one of us could do it and so it ended up being me (Chris) .
It was a wonderful and relaxing experience. A bath up is filled with locally sourced seaweed then half filled with very hot water. Whilst the hot water is extracting all the goodness from the seaweed you spend 10 minutes relaxing in a steam room. You then add cold water to get the bath to your ideal temperature before submerging yourself, closing your eyes and relaxing. As you relax recordings of waves help you to relax.
It was a wonderful experience and then at the end you stand under a cold shower, which was a bit like the ice bucket challenge , much to Marianne's amusement !
The Wild Atlantic Way is one of the longest designated coastal road trips in the world at over 2,500 km long. Our road trip of the Wild Atlantic Way started at the most Northern Point of Ireland - Malin Head and finished all the way at the bottom in the town of Kinsale.
The Wild Atlantic way is a road trip of a lifetime and that’s why we just had to do it and produce a travel series of vlogs of our experiences along this magical road. We saw beautiful and dramatic cliffs, stunning beaches, the best sunsets, met lots of lovely people, sung at a shanty festival and saw Ireland at it’s best. If you come to Ireland you must visit the Wild Atlantic Way - even if you can’t do the complete road trip just go and do part of it - absolutely awesome and what a road trip to start off our never ending journey around the Globe.
We hope you enjoy this episode of our Wild Atlantic Way Road Trip Vlog Series.
