The best fish in the world comes from Portugal
The abundance and high quality of the fish caught in Portuguese waters are directly correlated to the existence of favorable conditions of temperature, light, salinity and oxygen. This by itself influences the existence of a high amount of plankton to feed lower food chain species. Ultimately, this is what makes the quality of the fish, the fact that the Portuguese coast has plenty of everything needed to have great tasting fish.
In addition to the generosity of nature, there is also is the wisdom of fishermen who, over generations, preserve the line fishing gear, hook, and small traditional nets. It is a gentle way of catching fish that allows it to preserve its freshness and superior taste quality, even after caught. They know how to prepare and cook fish in a traditional manner. Just charcoal and Portuguese salt is necessary to enjoy the full flavour of Portuguese Fish.
If you look up Portugal best fish in the world on google, you will find this sentence was uttered by no other than Mr. Ferran Adrià himself. I am sure that everyone who has ever traveled to Portugal and tasted wild Portuguese fish can stand by this acclamation.
Nowadays Portuguese Fish is a must in many high-class restaurants across the globe, especially Michelin Star establishments.
It is one of the flags I proudly fly whenever I speak about Portugal during my travels, having even dedicated a whole chapter to it my Portuguese Travel Cookbook.

The project defines Portuguese Fish as an anchor for the promotion of gastronomic tourism in Portugal, while linking it to various traditional products of Portuguese cuisine. Our ultimate goal is to achieve a greater visibility and recognition of Portugal as a Gastronomical destination of choice.

Porto is a fascinating and vibrant city that is rapidly becoming one of Western Europe’s most respected tourist destinations. The city boasts an extensive history, interesting tourist sights, buzzing nightlife, and outstanding tourist facilities. There is a lot to see and do in Porto, and the city will appeal to a wide range of different visitors.
Porto is a historic and varied city, from the warren of narrow streets that make up the ancient Ribeira district through to the grand plazas of the Avenida dos Aliados. The region is famed for the production of Port, which is still stored and matured in the vast cellars that stretch along the banks of the Douro River. This guide will provide an introduction to Porto by answer some of the common holiday planning questions and provide links to further detailed tourist information.
The Ribeira district - The oldest district of the city which is filled with ancient houses, narrow cobbled streets and numerous family owned restaurants, cafes and bars.
The Douro River, which is the scenic backdrop to Porto and is crossed by magnificent bridges and the route for relaxing boat tours.

Ericeira World Surfing Reserve - Coxos, Ribeira D'Ilhas, Pedra Branca - Bucket list surf spots
EVERY WEEK ONE NEW SPOT: The next stop on my journey is Ericeira. This little village, about 40 minutes drive from where I live, is definitely one of my favourite places in Portugal to go surfing. Most peaks in Ericeira can handle some swell and size and it's definitely one of those places I don't mind waking up at 5am to head off the beach to squeeze in a session before work!
The only real problem with Ericeira is to choose where to go in and surf, because you have so many quality options.

Aveiro nos finais do século XVI, princípios do século XVII, a instabilidade da vital comunicação entre a Ria e o mar levou ao fecho do canal, impedindo a utilização do porto e criando condições de insalubridade, provocadas pela estagnação das águas da laguna, causas estas que provocaram uma grande diminuição do número de habitantes - muitos dos quais emigraram, criando póvoas piscatórias ao longo da costa portuguesa - e, consequentemente, estiveram na base de uma grande crise económica e social. Foi, porém e curiosamente, nesta fase de recessão que se construiu, em plena dominação filipina, um dos mais notáveis templos aveirenses: a igreja da Misericórdia.
