Inktober 2018: Day 9 - Van Life Edition
As we drive through Portugal, Lou and I have been so captivated by the many abandoned buildings in the countryside, but today's adventures took that to the next level and I even got to draw one for Day 9 of Inktober!!
We explored Minas do Braçal -- -
a huge set of abandoned buildings from an old mine dating back to the 1800s near the town of Sever do Vouga.
We also used the website to help locate the wildfires in Portugal and highly recommend it if you travel here during the dry, hot months of the year.
I really hope you enjoy this Inktober video. I think it's my favorite one yet :)
See you on Friday
Big hugs,
Dana (& Lou)

30 Day Free Trial for Epidemic Sound -
Switching to Epidemic Sound - a royalty free music library - for all our videos has been such a gamechanger. Many of our most viewed videos on our channel ended up with copyright claims and no longer can make any ad revenue. This was actually a substantial part of our YouTube income stream and we can't get those claims removed even though we received full authorization from every artist to use their songs. If you make Youtube videos this is an amazing way to no longer fret about whether or not you will get demonetized!!!

Viajando a Aveiro (Portugal)

Abadia Park and Waterfalls - Portugal HD
The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Abadia is an 18th century Marian sanctuary located a few kilometers from Santa Maria de Bouro, on a mountain where beautiful waterfalls run.
The Sanctuary is composed of chapels of via-sacra, church, cruise, fountains and buildings of support to the pilgrims. The church has three naves, separated by arcades all around set in Tuscan columns.
Legend has it that the Virgin Mary image that had disappeared during the Arab invasion would have been found by Friar Lourenço on a boulder after the appearance of a light indicating its location.
There is a route that passes through the site of the apparition of the image of the Virgin Mary, a medieval bridge and several little chapels. There are several picnic areas and a museum.

Cascata do Aveiro – Maia
The Cascade of Aveiro, on the southeast coast of the wonderful Santa Maria Island, is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful places on the Island in the Azores Archipelago. Located in Maia, the Cascade reaches about 100 meters in height.
The beautiful and crystalline cascade of Ribeira do Aveiro promotes beautiful panoramas, along with it’s adjacent lagoons. To better appreciate all this natural beauty, it is recommended to see it in the winter periods since the water flow is significantly increased.
