Gazzada Schianno is a comune in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 45 kilometres northwest of Milan and about 4 kilometres south of Varese. It is served by Gazzada-Schianno-Morazzone railway station. Gazzada Schianno borders the following municipalities: Brunello, Buguggiate, Lozza, Morazzone, Varese. It is formed by two main localities, Gazzada and Schianno. Gazzada was the venue in 1967 for discussions between Anglicans and Catholics following the Second Vatican Council.

Went to Villa Panza and James Turrell Exhibition at that day and our mind was mind-blowed.

Villa Panza itself is a world-renowned collection of contemporary art
Surrounded by a magnificent Italian-style garden, the 18th century Villa Panza is famous around the world for the contemporary art collection that Giuseppe Panza di Biumo assembled there from the 1950s onwards. (via

We took the Trenord from Cadorna to Varese (approximately 45minutes - 1 hour) and walk around 1,5km to find Villa Panza. The entrance ticket to Villa Panza is actually €5, but to see James Turrell Exhibition we must pay extra €3.

Actually we are not allowed to take a pictures for the exhibition, so, if you are wondering how good it is, go googled him: James Turrell.

We strolled the Varese city a bit and then back home at 6pm.

What a great experience that we have!
(PS: Well, it's not actually Milano, but it's close to Milan, by the way ;))
