Montecchio is a comune in the Province of Terni in the Italian region Umbria, located about 50 km south of Perugia and about 30 km northwest of Terni. Montecchio borders the following municipalities: Avigliano Umbro, Baschi, Civitella d'Agliano, Guardea, Orvieto, Todi. The production facilities of the Falesco winery are located there.

The Tarot Garden is a sculpture garden based on the esoteric tarot, created by the French artist Niki de Saint Phalle in Pescia Fiorentina, località Garavicchio, in the municipality of Capalbio, province of Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy. The park was opened to the public in 1998. Niki de Saint Phalle, inspired by Antoni Gaudí´s Parc Güell in Barcelona, and Parco dei Mostri in Bomarzo, as well as Palais Idéal by Ferdinand Cheval, and Watts Towers by Simon Rodia, decided to make something similar in design for her monumental sculpture park based on the Tarot. In 1979, she acquired some land on top of an Etruscan ruin in Garavicchio, Tuscany, about 100 km north-west of Rome along the coast. The Sacro Bosco , colloquially called Park of the Monsters , also named Garden of Bomarzo, is a Manieristic monumental complex located in Bomarzo, in the province of Viterbo, in northern Lazio, Italy.The garden was created during the 16th century. Situated in a wooded valley bottom beneath the castle of Orsini, it is populated by grotesque sculptures and small buildings located among the natural vegetation.

The Cascata delle Marmore is a man-made waterfall created by the ancient Romans. Its total height is 165 m , making it the tallest man-made waterfall in the world. Of its 3 sections, the top one is the tallest, at 83 m . It is located 7.7 km from Terni, a provincial capital of the Italian region of Umbria. Its source is a portion of the waters of the river Velino , after flowing through Piediluco lake near the community of Marmore. It pours into the valley below formed by the river Nera. Its flow is turned on and off according to a published schedule, to satisfy the needs of tourists and the power company alike. Tourists try to be there the moment the gates are opened to see the powerful rush of water.

Etruscan Well in Italian Store

In Napoli, while constructing the Navy Exchange complex on the U.S. Naval Base there, the contactors unintentionally excavated several Etruscan sites, including the Etruscan Well in this video (this is the Commissay grocery). Naturally these sites could not be destroyed, so they were built around and preserved under plate glass. Interesting mix of old civiliation on top of new civilization.
