    Église Sainte-Marie is a Catholic church in Church Point, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is one of the largest and tallest wooden buildings in North America. Built in the form of a cross, the church nave measures 58 metres in length, with transepts that are 41 metres across. The church spire rises 56 metres from floor to steeple, with its cross adding another 1.67 meters . Originally 15 feet taller, the church steeple was struck by lightning in 1914, requiring part of the spire to be rebuilt.

    Smuggler’s Cove Provincial Park is located in Meteghan, Digby County, Nova Scotia, Canada and can be found alongside Highway 1 in the Yarmouth and Acadian Shores region. Smuggler’s Cove is known for the small cave in the cliff used for the smuggling of liquor during prohibition in the 1920s. The ocean waters fill the cove during high tide which prevents access to the cave, but it can be traversed briefly during low tide.

A major centre of wooden shipbuilding in the 19th and early 20th century, Belliveaus Cove built the second largest wooden ship ever constructed in Canada, County of Yarmouth in 1884. Belliveau's Cove was established in 1768 and is located on the west coast of the Nova Scotia peninsula on the St. Mary's Bay. Like many of the small Nova Scotia coastal port villages, Belliveau Cove was known for their wooden ship building, shipping industry and attendant services.
