The Zugspitze, at 2,962 m above sea level, is the highest peak of the Wetterstein Mountains as well as the highest mountain in Germany. It lies south of the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and the Austria–Germany border runs over its western summit. South of the mountain is the Zugspitzplatt, a high karst plateau with numerous caves. On the flanks of the Zugspitze are three glaciers, including the two largest in Germany: the Northern Schneeferner with an area of 30.7 hectares and the Höllentalferner with an area of 24.7 hectares. The third is the Southern Schneeferner which covers 8.4 hectares. Neuschwanstein Castle is a 19th-century Romanesque Revival palace on a rugged hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near Füssen in southwest Bavaria, Germany. The palace was commissioned by Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat and in honour of Richard Wagner. Ludwig paid for the palace out of his personal fortune and by means of extensive borrowing, rather than Bavarian public funds. The castle was intended as a home for the king, until he died in 1886. It was open to the public shortly after his death. Since then more than 61 million people have visited Neuschwanstein Castle. More than 1.3 million people visit annually, with as many as 6,000 per day in the summer.

De langste hangbrug in Europa in Tibetstijl. De hangbrug gaat over de weg naar de Fernpass bij Reutte in Oostenrijk en vormt een verbinding tussen Fort Claudia en Ruïne Ehrenberg.

STREET VIEW: Kempten im Allgäu in GERMANY

Wir haben im Colosseum Center in Kempten geparkt. Dieses Parkhaus kann man wirklich nur empfehlen. Wir starten den Rundgang in der Bahnhofstrasse vor dem Forum Allgäu. Es geht die Bahnhofstrasse hinunter und weiter in die Fischerstraße. Von dort geht es weiter auf den Rathausplatz und vor bis zum St. Mang Platz Anschließend geht es wieder zurück bis zum Rathausplatz und dann über die Kronenstraße in die Gerberstraße. Über den Residenzplatz geht es weiter bis zur Basilika.
