NEW in 2018: 5:48 - Lego Star Wars
Legoland Deutschland was opened on May 17, 2002 in Günzburg, Germany. The park opened nine months earlier than planned by Merlin Entertainments Group. On opening year, the park welcomed 1.35 Million visitors. All of the lighting for the park was done by Gallegos Lighting Design which had done the lighting for Legoland California Resort and the sound and video production for the park was done by Edward Technologies Inc. The park features Lego explore centers, roller coasters, water attractions and shows. When it opened in 2002, it contained 40 attractions, 7 themed lands and was made out of 50 million Lego bricks. 10 years later, the park expanded to eight “adventure worlds” with 50 attractions and 55 million Lego bricks. Legoland Deutschland is home to the world's largest Lego building, representing Munich's Allianz Arena and weighing 1.5 tons with dimensions of 5 meters in width and 1 meter in height. Legoland Deutschland also contains many other world records such as the largest Lego flower bed (2007), largest amount of energy generated through cycling underwater (2010), highest Lego tower (2010), largest Lego mosaic (2011), longest Lego millipede (2002), and the largest Lego brick (2005).

Herrenchiemsee is a complex of royal buildings on Herreninsel, an island in the Chiemsee, Bavaria's largest lake, 60 km south east of Munich.
Together with the neighbouring island of Frauenchiemsee and the uninhabited Krautinsel it forms the municipality of Chiemsee.
After being purchased by King Ludwig II of Bavaria the former Herrenchiemsee monastery was converted into a royal residence known as the Old Palace (Altes Schloss), while the king built Herrenchiemsee Palace also known as the New Palace (Neues Schloss), the largest of his palaces.
The unfinished New Palace was designed by Christian Jank, Franz von Seitz, and Georg von Dollmann and built between 1878 and 1885.
Between 1863 and 1886 16,579,674 Marks were spent on construction.
Using a 0.2304 troy ounce (7.171 g) 1890 '20 Mark' gold coin as a benchmark, this equates to 190,998 oz of gold, which at October 2013 prices was worth approximately £154,000,000 (US$250,100,000).
The palace was shaped in a 'W' with wings flanking a central edifice.
Only 16 of the 70 rooms were on the ground floor.
It was to have been an equivalent to the Palace of Versailles, but only the central portion was built before the king died and construction was discontinued with 50 of the 70 rooms still incomplete.
It was never intended to be a perfectly exact replica of the French royal palace and in several places even surpasses it.
Like Versailles, the Hall of Mirrors has 17 arches, the Hall of Peace and the Hall of War on either side have three windows each.
The window niches at Herrenchiemsee are wider than those at Versailles, making its central façade a few metres wider.
The dining room features an elevator table and the world's largest Meissen porcelain chandelier.
Technologically, the building also benefits from nearly two centuries of progress.
While the original Versailles palace lacked toilets, water, and central heat, the New Palace has all of these, including a large heated bathtub.
The formal gardens are filled with fountains, a copy of the Versailles Bassin de Latone, and statues in both the classical style typical of Versailles and the fantastic romanticism favored by King Ludwig.
Statues reminiscent of antiquity are found throughout the gardens, overwrought in the grand style of Richard Wagner's romantic operas.

Legoland Germany Rides and Review from our Family of 5!
The following video will highlight our fun-filled day at Legoland Germany. We give some of the top rides a whirl and share some feedback with you all about our day.
The rides that our kids were looking forward to the most was of course Ninjago Land and Rides, as well as the new Virtual Reality Roller Coaster ride.
We were also keen to check out Legoland Germany Star Wars mini-land as well.
Overall we really loved the family-focus that this theme park has. Baby changing rooms were available everywhere. Strollers were available to rent. There is a little baby shop where you can buy baby food and supplies if you run out.
They are also really great with adding in toddler-friendly play areas next to the popular 'big kids' rides as well. Which made my life a lot easier as I waited for the older kids to have some fun.
We hope you enjoy our Legoland Germany video.
