Porís de Abona:
Conocido también simplemente como El Porís, es una de las entidades de población que conforman el municipio de Arico, en la isla de Tenerife —Canarias, España—.
El topónimio porís es un canarismo que significa 'embarcadero, pequeño puerto natural', y sobre su etimología los filólogos aportan dos hipótesis: la primera que provenga del término portugués proiz y la segunda del catalán proís.
El apelativo «de Abona», vocablo de procedencia guanche que según algunos investigadores significa 'grandes piedras' y por extensión 'canteras', alude a su situación dentro de esta comarca histórica y antiguo reino guanche.
Es el núcleo de mayor entidad de la localidad, pudiéndose diferenciar los enclaves de El Porís, La Sarnosa y Urbanización Casa Blanca. En él se encuentran un centro comercial, una Casa de la Juventud, una sede de la Guardia Civil, la iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Fátima, una plaza pública, un parque infantil, una oficina de Correos, el Centro de Enseñanza Infantil y Primaria Virgen de Fátima, una gasolinera, un centro cívico-social, un polideportivo, una farmacia, una entidad bancaria, así como bares, restaurantes y otros pequeños comercios. Aquí se ubican además las playas del Bonito y del Porís. El barrio cuenta con un embarcadero y una pequeña flota pesquera.

Odkrywaliśmy uroki Playa de Montana Amarilla. Widzieliśmy delfiny i wieloryby u wybrzeża Teneryfy na Los Gigantes. Wpadliśmy na chwilę do San Juan de la Rambla, by zaraz potem ruszyć zobaczyć naturalny basen (zielone jeziorko) Charco Verde. Zachwycaliśmy się absolutnie przepiękną Playa de los Roques. Widzieliśmy Poris de Abona. Odwiedziliśmy Punta de Teno - latarnię morską na Teneryfie. Potem w planie było opalanie na szerokiej plaży Playa de Las Vistas oraz wspaniały Park Narodowy Teide. Jego głównym bohaterem jest górujący nad Teneryfą wulkan Teide. Odwiedziliśmy świetną miejscówkę dla miłośników sportów wodnych El Medano, by następnie ruszyć na Playa de la Tejita. Odkryliśmy uroki La Orotava gdzie ubraliśmy się w piękne stroje. Pojechaliśmy zobaczyć słynną Playa de Almaciga i Rural de Anaga Park. Zobaczyliśmy Igueste de San Adres i Benijo. Na deser została nam jedna z największych atrakcji Teneryfy - Masca. To miejsce zachwyca - jeśli planujecie wakacje na Teneryfie - musicie się tu wybrać!

Wild Swimming - Spain - Canary Islands - Tenerife - El Tablado - Wild Swimming Destination
This is hardly off the beaten track, but El Tablado is yet another hidden gem, seldom discovered by tourists. Located just off the TF1, halfway between Tenerife South Airport and Santa Cruz de Tenerife. This swim is in no way a tourist trap, but rather a quiet village with its very own natural swimming pool, sea swimming terrace and hidden cave!
Their may be few facilities and just one bar, but with rocks to dive from and crystal clear waters this is the place to visit when traveling the TF1. The cave is accessible from the rocks or by swimming directly into it from the sea. As with all natural features, sea conditions can make swimming from the cave to the sea hazardous. When visiting for the first time ask a local to go with you to safely enter and exit the cave and tunnel. If you try to swim against the flow you will be underwater for a long time. If in doubt try diving from the rocks or visit the natural swimming pool instead!
[4K] Puerto de la Cruz - Playa de los Roques Breathtaking rock scenery in the sea - Tenerife
In the north-west of Tenerife two giant rocks emerge from the sea to give this beach its name. The crashing of the waves against the rocks is a breath-taking spectacle and it is well worth spending some time here.
The beach itself and the hills above it are part of a nature reserve. A solid track leads from one bay to the next and this is used daily by hikers heading from one natural attraction to the next. From the track a path leads down to the beach.
In the background of the beach is another highlight, namely a giant cliff face which partly protrudes over the beach. This is the reason why access to the beach is sometimes not permitted, due to the danger of falling rocks. If you choose to ignore the warning and go down to the beach anyway, it is at your own risk and you should stay as close to the sea as possible.
Playa de los Roques is a quite wide and large stony beach with a great view and plenty of space. If you want to spend some time here, however, we recommend that you bring something soft to sit on, as the stony surface can be rather uncomfortable. Beach footwear is also recommended, as otherwise making your way into the sea can be uncomfortable and even hazardous.
Although the bay is relatively sheltered, the waves and currents can be quiet strong. There are no lifeguards here and swimming can be only recommended for experienced swimmers. Playa de los Roques is definitely not suitable for water-sports and there are no amenities here.
