San Fedele Intelvi was a comune in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 60 kilometres north of Milan and about 15 kilometres north of Como, on the border with Switzerland. On 1 January 2018 it was merged with Casasco d'Intelvi and Castiglione d'Intelvi to form the new comune of Centro Valle Intelvi.

Porlezza Time

Porlezza, centro di montagna, di origine antica, che accanto alle tradizionali attività agricole ha sviluppato il tessuto industriale e incrementato i servizi. I porlezzini o porlezzesi, che presentano un indice di vecchiaia rientrante nella media, sono concentrati prevalentemente nel capoluogo comunale -contiguo alla località San Pietro Sovera del comune di Carlazzo- e, in misura minore, in località Cima -contigua alla località Cressogno del comune di Valsolda-. Il territorio (che si affaccia su quella parte del lago di Lugano che dalla Svizzera si addentra in territorio italiano) disegna un profilo geometrico irregolare, con variazioni altimetriche rilevanti. Intorno al lago si dispongono a semicerchio le cime dei monti Galbiga (verde di boschi), Bronzone e Generoso, che fa da sfondo alla Valsolda. L'abitato, adagiato lungo la sponda del lago e dominato dalla cima del monte dei Pizzoni, è interessato da un fenomeno di forte espansione edilizia. Nello stemma comunale, aureo, concesso con Decreto del Capo del Governo, si raffigura un leone verde a mezzo corpo uscente dalla prima delle tre fasce verdi che spiccano nello scudo.
