This is a video about Swedish Lapland in summer. One of the most important cities is Skellefteå, which has Bonnstan area, a place of old wooden houses, one of its main attractions. Skellefteå River runs through the city. Nearby Skellefteå are interesting places such as Byske River, where you can fish salmon, Caribo Camp, that offers accommodation and all sorts of activities or Drängsmark sawmill. At the south of Skellefteå is Bjuröklubb Nature Reserve and the lighthouse.
To the north is the town of Piteå. It is highly recommended to visit the neighborhood Öjebyn Kyrkstad, built around an old stone church of the fifteenth century, and Havsbad Pite, a resort on the Gulf of Bothnia in the Baltic. In Piteå there are accommodations as Stormyrberget, where you can ride horses and be with farm animals

Este es un vídeo sobre la Laponia sueca en verano. Una de las ciudades más importantes es Skellefteå, que tiene en la zona de Bonnstan, un sitio de casas antiguas de madera, uno de sus principales atractivos. El río Skellefteå atraviesa la ciudad.
En los alrededores de Skellefteå hay lugares muy interesantes como el río Byske, donde se pescan salmones, Camp Caribo, donde se ofrece alojamiento y se pueden practicar todo tipo de actividades o el aserradero de Drängsmark. Al sur de Skellefteå se encuentra la Reserva Natural de Bjuröklubb y el faro del mismo nombre.
Al norte se encuentra la localidad de Piteå. Es muy recomendable visitar el barrio casas de madera de Öjebyn Kyrkstad, construido alrededor de una antigua iglesia de piedra del siglo XV, y el Pite Havsbad, un resort a orillas del golfo de Botnia, en el Báltico. También en Piteå hay alojamientos muy particulares como Stormyrberget, donde se puede montar a caballos o estar con los animales de la granja

During the summer months in the north of Sweden the sun never sets and the days are endless. With all that time suddenly in your hands, there are countless things to do – for the people who live here and if you are on holiday. In this video we follow two childhood friends from Germany who rejoin on this trip on the top of the world. We meet inspiring people doing their own thing and enjoy the endless summer nights of the subarctic world.

Snow canon in Skellefteå, Swedish Lapland.
A snow canon is a phenomena that occurs when lots of cold air flows out over open sea. The contrast in temperature causes lots of water to evaporate which turn in to clouds and almost instantly produces snow. This happens every once and a while in the region of Skellefteå. This time it fell about 80 centimeters in Skellefteå city and over one meter on some places closer to the coast. It's a good thing, we love snow :)

Without transfer - there have been direct flights from Hanover, Hahn, Munich and Stuttgart to destinations in Northern Sweden for 15 years now.
“The flight to Arvidsjaur only takes 21/2 hours.”
In the summer months the sun never seems to set. In winter it only shows 3-5 hours before darkness returns.
During these months it doesn’t stay light for long in Lapland but you’ll be sure to see the Northern Lights.
This result of the interaction between the sun and the Earth’s magnetic fields is visible during 7 out of 10 nights – if the sky is clear!
“This is the Hornavarn, a lake here in Arjeplog. With a depth of 221 metres, it’s the deepest one in Sweden.
In Sweden, Batman used to be called Leather Cloth (= Läderlappen?). They simply translated the name into Swedish. With Tim Burton‘s first Batman film he also was called Batman here.
By the way, the huskies are only loud when standing. As soon as they start running they quiet down.
The object of desire here are prototypes, since Lapland is a testing ground for the automotive sector. Cars test-driven here will only be launched several years from now. Such a photo brings a small fortune.
A small hint for Papparazzi: There are only two petrol stations here!
Twenty percent of all traffic accidents here in Sweden are caused by elks. They can weigh up to a ton and reach a height of two meters.”
All the large reindeer herds in Lapland are “half-wild.” They are often under the care of Lapland’s native inhabitants, the Sami.
“The last wild reindeer disappeared in Sweden in the early 19th century. Today all the reindeers are tame. They are private property. All reindeers have an owner.”
