Winter in Norfolk, UK
Winter is a great time to visit Norfolk, with the incredible Winter Wildlife Safari of seals at Blakeney Point, migrating geese, swans and other birdlife, plus festive shows and pantos. Dog walking on the coast and in the countryside is a delight, and there's always a welcoming pub with a roaring fire to relax in afterwards.

We think Norfolk has the best birdwatching in the UK, with stunning locations to choose from, including the Brecks and Thetford Forest, the Norfolk Broads National Park, Ouse Washes and Fens, and the Norfolk coast, with a host of accessible national nature reserves. Enjoy birdwatching year-round, but it's best in the winter with the annual migration of geese, swans and more.

Stocks Reservoir - nature reserve, bird watching and fishing - Forest-of-Bowland.
Stocks Reservoir sits in the heart of the Forest of Bowland and is a great place to visit. It incorporates a nature reserve, lots of bird watching and fishing. Nearby is a fantastic mountain bike centre called Gisburn Forest.
Ths video gives a glimpse of what to expect, and shows country scenes, views over the water, fishermen and shots of various birds, bird hides and plants.

Behind the Scenes Filming in Bosque Del Apache, New Mexico
Last December, Henry went down to the Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge to film a review of a new Panasonic zoom lens with +Daniel J. Cox of Natural Exposures. [see link below]. The masses of snow geese and sandhill cranes were epic. The refuge is very accessible and the birds are often very close as you can see from the video.

Driving On The A47 From King's Lynn, Norfolk to Duddington, Northamptonshire, England 30th July 2017
Driving from on the A47 from King's Lynn, Norfolk to Duddington, Northamptonshire, England.
Starting at the A10, A47, A149 traffic island King's Lynn & onto the A47 driving through (or near to) Tilney All Saints (pullover Road), Tilney High End, Terrington St John Wisbech, St John's Highway, Walpole Highway, Walton Highway, North Brink, South Brink, Guyhirn, Ring's End, Thorney Peterborough (Thorney Bypass, The Causeway) to Eye (Thorney Road). At the Eye roundabout turn right onto Crowland Road to Eye Green & then left at the next roundabout stopping briefly at the Little Chef restaurant (now Starbucks Coffeehouse).
Next, back onto the A47 driving through (or near to) Paston, Soke Parkway, Bretton, Westwood, Wansford to Duddington.

Painted stork wade through water
View of a temple in Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. Boats are lined up near the bank of a river, a man is washing clothes and an old man is changing his clothes. Painted stork search for food and wade through water.
The painted stork (Mycteria leucocephala) is a large wading bird in the stork family. It is found in the wetlands of the plains of tropical Asia south of the Himalayas in the Indian Subcontinent and extending into Southeast Asia. Their distinctive pink tertial feathers give them their name. They forage in flocks in shallow waters along rivers or lakes. They immerse their half open beaks in water and sweep them from side to side and snap up their prey of small fish that are sensed by touch. As they wade along they also stir the water with their feet to flush hiding fish. They nest colonially in trees, often along with other waterbirds. The only sounds they produce are weak moans or bill clattering at the nest. They are not migratory and only make short distance movements in some parts of their range in response to changes in weather or food availability or for breeding. Like other storks, they are often seen soaring on thermals.
