Convict Lake
Convict Lake (elevation 7,850 feet (2,393 m)), is a lake in the Sherwin Range of the Sierra Nevada in California, USA. It is known for its fishing and the dramatic mountains (including Mount Morrison) that surround the lake.

The lake was named after an incident in 1871, where a group of convicts escaped from prison in Carson City. A posse, led by Sheriff Robert Morrison, encountered the convicts near the head of what is now Convict Creek. Morrison was killed in the encounter, and Mount Morrison was named after him.

I wasn't able to get any footage from the tube but, the timelapse of us on Convict Lake came out great. Emily caught two more rainbow's here on the Thomas buoyant. Fished for roughly 2 hours. Had a great time out on the water. Stay tuned for Tioga Pass Lakes!!

This was the last hike I did on my 4 day Eastern Sierras trip.This easy 1.8 miles round trip hike including a loop around the whole lake. Just like all other lakes in Mammoth Lakes it's beautiful! Mammoth Lakes is a town in Mono County, California, the county's only incorporated community. It is located 9 miles (14 km) northwest of Mount Morrison, at an elevation of 7,880 feet (2,400 m). As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 8,234, reflecting an increase of 1,141 from the 7,093 counted in the 2000 Census.

Beautiful Fall Colors, Mammoth Lakes
This video is recorded on my GoPro Hero 7; the stabilization in this camera is amazing! Visited Mammoth September 28 and 29, 2019 in search of fall colors! Colors are starting to change at Crowley Lake, which you can hike around! The second place in this video is Sagehen summit, which had many fall colors! Next stop is Mono Lake! Then McGee Creek, which also had some fall colors starting to appear! The landscape is so beautiful there! It snowed 9/28/19 in the night so we woke up to some fresh snow, which made for beautiful pictures the next day at Devil's Postpile and Rainbow Falls.
