???? Walking from Dana Strands Beach to Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point, California USA ???? ASMR 【4K】
Virtual beach walk on Strands Beach and Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point, California. This is probably the best beach I've ever been and seen in Southern California. The scenic views, waves and sand reminds me of the beaches in Maui, Hawaii.

Salt Creek Beach Park is a popular Orange County park located in Dana Point, CA. This wide sandy beach is directly below the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel beach resort, the Ritz Cove gated development, and the Monarch Beach Golf Links golf course. Salt Creek flows through the beach sometimes at the north end of the beach and on the other side of the creek is the private Monarch Bay Beach Club. Salt Creek Beach Park is a large grass park with picnic tables and walking paths going in all directions.
With nearly a mile of sand spread along the coast just north of Dana Point, Salt Creek Beach is a favorite place for beach visitors to spend the day. For surfers, it is one of the best spots in the area ever since the harbor and accompanying breakwaters at Dana Point changed the surfing geography.
Tide pools and California's largest kelp forest just offshore are some of the features that attract visitors to Salt Creek Beach. The area is part of the Niguel Stare Marine Conservation Area.

This video takes you to legendary Salt Creek, Dana Point, California. Salt Creek, sometimes referred to as Cosmic Creek, is located in Orange County, California just north of San Clemente.
It was a beautiful sunny day after a recent rain during the fall season at Creek. With crystal clear (smog-free) and you could get a clear view of Catalina Island. The sun can glisten off the water creating a diamond-like glare on sunny days.
As we enter the beach area there are several distinct characteristics that will catch your attention including a glimpse of the ocean-art at this beach, basketball court, super steep hill that takes from the bluff to the beach, and a great ocean view and view of Catalina Island.
In this surfing video we take you on a tour of three of the breaks available within the Salt Creak Beach Park. First we discuss The point, then Middles, and ultimately Gravels. These three breaks offer a variety of wave types. You can surf a point break, a fast wave that pitches, and dumpy close out barrels all at one beach. The point offers reforms along the jetty.
There is actually a surfing contest every year there called the Cosmic Creek Surf Festival. The founders thought it would be cool if they could pay homage to all those shapers, and give an opportunity for anyone to try all these wonderful designs that had basically been forgotten. The other thought was adding a bit of fun by allowing boards to be picked or be used in challenges, luck of the draw. This event has been running for about 14-years.
Parking consists of pay and display parking $1/hour year round.
Remember not to take rocks and shells from this beach as it is a preserve. The Dana Point has worked hard to keep some areas pristine as LA/OC/SD urbanization has been taking place all around the city.
Dana Point has almost 7 miles of prominent bluffs and rolling hills along the coast. Among these bluffs is the famous Headlands. This bluff overlooks Dana Point Harbor and is considered one of the most significant landmarks along Orange County's coast.
Famous Doheny State Park is south of Salt Creek. The State Park is 62 acres and has a beach, tide pool exploration, and a campground.
Doheny is mostly enjoyed by longboarders and new surfers. Doheny State Beach is also part of Dana Point. This was California's first State beach! It is located at the mouth of San Juan Creek, forming a fresh-water lagoon. Unfortunately it is said to be one of the most polluted beaches in Southern California. There is a surf beach at the northern end and a campground at the southern end. The campground is very popular with over 850,000 people camping there each year.
Capistrano Beach (referred to as Capo Beach) is south of Doheny. Doheny Beach is south of Salt Creek.

Salt Creek CA. 4-7-8 foot wave faces - surfing
Salt Creek, once a secluded secret surfing spot until the 1970's, now well known located in south Laguna Beach California along Pacific Coast Highway.
The concrete parking lot and road walk way down to the beach currently, was before development a long narrow dirt foot created path trail through thick bushes down to the beach.
Those surfers who parked for free along PCH at that time and made the long hike down scored some of the best consistent waves in this area!
As expensive condos and homes for the rich in the last few decades graded the hill side and filled in the beach making The Point 4:30 almost half as long as it use to be, also filling in too much sand at Gravels 3:37 which is the shore break degrading the hollow top to bottom tubes that were more common long ago now.
The Ritz Carlton Hotel over looks The Creek and Dana Point Strand Beach. 19:24
Although despite all that, great waves still happen here consistently summer and winter.
It's a very remarkable wave considering that most other surf breaks in Laguna Beach are much less consistent in size on most small and moderate swells.
The wave shape is normally very good for semi intermediate and even some advanced surfers can have a few tube rides possible.
Afternoon onshore winds are generally less than most other places, and early mornings tend to be more offshore thanks to the surrounding hills and open canyon inland that help create that.
The landscape presently is very well maintained and clean, with public amenities.
A very nice grassy hillside along with shady trees provide a very pleasant atmosphere and view.
Near the waters edge also seems to be nice and clean, especially during the fair weather months.
Early morning dawn patrol as seen in opening of video is an extremely peaceful experience along with the natural sounds of birds and ocean.
Parking at the time of writing this description is convenient for a fee of basically $1 dollar per hour by paying a machine and putting the receipt on your dashboard inside of the car window.
I think a state pass for a yearly fee will cover you here??

Salt Creek Campground and Crescent Beach - Clallam County WA
Salt Creek Campground and Crescent Beach is a must see destination on the Olympic Peninsula. The views of the coastline and the Strait of Juan de Fuca are breath-taking, and the mix of rocky coastline with tidal pools and vast sandy beach are inviting and awe inspiring. We happened upon this location during an summer afternoon drive west on 101, starting from our home in Sequim, Washington. We will certainly be returning to this beach and campground in the future!

Surfing at Strands Beach
Check out the rest of the Strands Beach surfing guide here:
If you're ready to go surfing at Strands, be prepared to take a very long walk down a gut-busting number of steps to the shoreline. Significantly less crowded than Salt Creek, maybe this is why Strands is coveted by the locals in Dana Point. The wave quality here is generally second to Salt Creek, but the isolation makes for an ideal getaway from the madness of a typical SoCal surf break.
