Broadmeadows is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 16 km north-west from Melbourne's central business district. Its local government area is the City of Hume. At the 2016 Census, Broadmeadows had a population of 11,970. Broadmeadows is a sub-regional centre within the northern suburbs of Melbourne, and is often used as a reference for the suburbs around it, although this may be due to its former status as a municipality.

Brighton is an affluent coastal suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 11 km south-east of Melbourne's central business district. Its local government area is the City of Bayside. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Brighton had a population of 23,253 people in 2016<. Brighton is named after Brighton in England. Brighton houses some of the wealthiest citizens in Melbourne with grand homes, and the development of large residential blocks of land. Brighton is also well known for its Dendy Street Beach with its 82 colourful beach boxes. As of June 2016, Brighton has a median house price of AU$2,287,500.

Oz - Melbourne to Sydney on the CountryLink

Another day, another mode of travel, this time the CountyLink Train System. We boarded in Melbourne at the Southern Cross Station, said goodbye and scored a private cabin!

Sydney Transport System, NSW, Australia

These Double-Decker electric trains form part of Sydney's Transport System. This short film is basically the out takes from our production of the Lithgow Zig-Zag Railway in the blue mountains, approx 3 hours drive North of Sydney.

All of the surburban rail network connects at Central Station, it then goes underground forming the city circle link. This is a clever way of turning the trains around, while providing a service to the city. It also means that there is no need to build a costy underground network.

The first part of this film takes us from Central Station across the Harbour Bridge & on to North Syndey. The second journey is on the green line at night from the station of Museum to Circular Quay Station, we finish with some special shots of the Opera House & Harbour Bridge.

It is said that railway stations are the hub of a city. Flinders Street Station on the corner of Swanston & Flinders Streets in Melbourne is a popular meeting place for friends to meet before heading into the city for entertainment.

Brisbane to Sydney on XPT

A journey aboard CountryLink's XPT from Brisbane to Sydney. Weather was somewhat overcast, and the train was some 50 minutes late. Soundtrack is courtesy of Blind Hot Gems, a young Jazz quartet based in Sydney.
