Manawatu Gorge TrackAshhurst The Manawatu Gorge runs for 6-9 km between the Ruahine and Tararua Ranges in the south part of the North Island of New Zealand, linking the Manawatu and Hawke's Bay regions. A bit of mucking around at Wanganui until an escape plan is hatched and I head south via Turakina, diverting to Marton and then Feilding. There's a couple of minor diversions as I visit people and take a nosey around various places. Trip distance is about 60 km.

From 21st November - 30th November 2012, we went on an overseas holiday to the South Island of New Zealand. While we were there, we did a few railway activities.

Part 3 still shows our train journey on board the TranzAlpine. Then the next day on the 29th November, we were on board the Coastal Pacific which runs from Christchurch - Picton.
