Plymouth is a city situated on the south coast of Devon, England, approximately 37 miles south-west of Exeter and 190 miles west-south-west of London. Enclosing the city are the mouths of the river Plym and river Tamar, which are naturally incorporated into Plymouth Sound to form a boundary with Cornwall. Plymouth's early history extends to the Bronze Age, when a first settlement emerged at Mount Batten. This settlement continued as a trading post for the Roman Empire, until it was surpassed by the more prosperous village of Sutton founded in the ninth century, now called Plymouth. Wembury is a village on the south coast of Devon, England, very close to Plymouth Sound. Wembury is located south of Plymouth. Wembury is also the name of the peninsula in which the village is situated. The National Marine Aquarium is a marine aquarium built on reclaimed land in the city of Plymouth, England, in Sutton Harbour, next to the Barbican and fishmarket. It was opened in May 1998, with charitable aims of research, education and conservation. It is the largest aquarium in the United Kingdom. It is a member of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums .

Burrator is a grouped parish council in the English county of Devon. It is entirely within the boundaries of the Dartmoor National Park and was formed from the older councils of Meavy, Sheepstor and Walkhampton. The parish has an area of 59.45 km2 , and is one of the most sparsely populated. The population count in 2001 found that 1,540 people lived in the parish. The parish coincides with the similarly-named electoral ward, and at the 2011 census the population had decreased to 1,445. The ward contains the villages of Dousland, Meavy, Sheepstor and Walkhampton, and also Burrator Reservoir which is the main water supply for Plymouth. Plymouth Sound, or locally just The Sound, is a bay on the English Channel at Plymouth in England. Its southwest and southeast corners are Penlee Point in Cornwall and Wembury Point in Devon, a distance of about 3 nautical miles . Its northern limit is Plymouth Hoe giving a north-south distance of nearly 3 nautical miles . The Sound has three water entrances. The marine entrance is from the English Channel to the south, with a deep-water channel to the west of the Plymouth Breakwater. 01. Barbican
The name given to the western and northern sides of the old harbour area. Two or three streets still retain some of the architecture of an old fishing port.

02. National Marine Aquarium
A marine aquarium. It was opened in May 1998. Divided into four main zones: Plymouth Sound, British Coasts, Atlantic Ocean and Blue Planet.

03. Plymouth Sound
A bay on the English Channel. The Titanic was supposed to have docked here briefly on its return voyage to Britain, and the ship had a painting of Plymouth sound on board.

04. Smeaton's Tower
The third and most notable Eddystone Lighthouse. In use from 1759 to 1877, it was largely dismantled and rebuilt on Plymouth Hoe where it now stands as a memorial to its designer.

05. Mayflower Steps
Consist of a commemorative portico with Doric columns. Was built in 1934. A small platform over the water with a brushed steel rail and a shelf with some nautical bronze artwork and historical information.

06. Royal Citadel
Was built in the late 1660s to the design of Sir Bernard de Gomme. Encompasses the site of the earlier fort that had been built in the time of Sir Francis Drake.

07. Cotehele
A mediaeval house with Tudor additions, situated in the parish of Calstock. One of the least altered of the Tudor houses in the United Kingdom.

08. Mount Edgcumbe House
A stately home in south-east Cornwall. Was the principal seat of the Edgcumbe family since Tudor times, many of whom served as MP.

09. Crownhill Fort
A Royal Commission Fort built in the 1860s in Crownhill as part of Lord Palmerston's ring of land defences for Plymouth. Now home to several small businesses, event spaces, a museum and a holiday apartment sleeping up to eight people.

10. Devonport Park
A public park located in Devonport. Dates back to the 1850s and is situated on former military land. The park is home to many historic monuments including a war memorial to the 2,000 Devonport citizens who died in the First World War.

Plymouth is a port city in Devon, southwest England. It’s known for its maritime heritage and historic Barbican district with narrow, cobbled streets. Sutton Harbour is home to the National Marine Aquarium, where sharks and rays glide in a deep tank.

Also in the harbor are several marinas and a fish market, the Plymouth Fisheries. The Mayflower Steps are where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for the New World in 1620.
