Asikkala is a municipality of Finland. Its seat is in Vääksy. It is located in the province of Southern Finland and is part of the Päijänne Tavastia region. The municipality has a population of 8,181 and covers an area of 755.55 square kilometres of which 192.13 km2 is water. The population density is 14.52 inhabitants per square kilometre . The municipality is unilingually Finnish, by law since 1996.

1. Vaaksy Canal Asikkala
Vääksy is a village and seat of the municipality of Asikkala in southern Finland. It is located on an isthmus between Päijänne and Vesijärvi, about 20 kilometres north of Lahti. The Vääksy canal, Vesijärven kanava, is located in Vääksy. Its length is 1,3 km and the height difference is about 3 metres. Nowadays it is the most popular freshwater canal in Finland. The canal was built in 1869-71 and completed in 1903-06.

Repovesi National Park is situated in the municipalities of Kouvola and Mäntyharju, only a few hours north-east of the more populous Helsinki area of southern Finland. Formerly a site for intensive commercial forestry, the Repovesi area successfully transformed into a pristine national park. Pine and birch trees dominate the park. Repovesi abounds with wildlife including bear, deer and various birds. The River Koukunjoki flows through the park. Other streams and lakes are also situated within the parks boundaries. Attractions include the Olhavanvuori hill, popular among climbers, and the Kultareitti water taxi route. Lapland Tour muuntui tänä vuonna Finland Touriksi jotuen siitä että vietimme aikaa mökkeilemässä viikon Asikkalassa. Finland tour on pysynyt myös yhtä asiallisella linjalla kun Lapland Tour 2012. Mitään vuoden 2011 tourin kaltaista sekoilua ei siis ole enää tarjolla vaan pyritään joka vuosi parantamaan reissupätkiä entistä enemmän informaatiota antavaan suuntaan mutta tietenkään pientä huvittelua unohtamatta.

Lapland Tour will change this year, Finland Tour due to the fact that we spent time cottage week Asikkala. Finland Tour has remained the same in a proper line of the Lapland Tour 2012. Nothing in the 2011 Tour, like acting stupid is therefore no longer available, the aim of the trip every year to improve more and more bits of information about the consultative direction but of course not forgetting the small of fun.
