I went last year and the spirit of the festival, unity of people from around the world, and celebration of Bavarian culture was unmatched by any other festival.

The Don'ts of Visiting Germany
1. Don't Assume German Are The Cold Stereotypes You Have Heard of Your Whole Life.
2. Don't Jaywalk, so follow the rules in Germany.
3. Don't Forget the Pfand or deposit that you may put down for beer mugs, bottles, cans and other things. You can get that money back.
4. Don't forget to bring flowers or a small gift when visiting a German's home. Also, don't wear your shoes inside their homes.
5. Don't be disrespectful at the Nazi concentration camps and memorials around the country.
6. Don't Wait: when at restaurants or bars order as soon as you can as waiters do not come through to check on tables as often as they do in other countries.
7. Don't Experiment on Driving on the Autobahn. It can be very dangerous for first time drivers.
8. Don't Expect to Shop on Sundays in Germany.
9. Don't forget to bring cash. Germans love to pay in cash and some places will only accept cash. So be ready.
10. Don't expect to see just half timbered houses in Germany. It is a thriving modern country with tons of amazing culture, architecture and technology.

1. Attracting millions of visitors every year, the Grand Canyon is one of the best places to visit in the USA. Located in northern Arizona, this massive natural wonder was carved by the Colorado River over a period of several million years. It is not the deepest or the longest canyon in the world but the overwhelming size and colorful landscape offers visitor vistas that are hard to match.
2. Manhattan is a city in northeastern Kansas in the United States at the junction of the Kansas River and Big Blue River. It is the county seat[6] of Riley County, although it extends into Pottawatomie County. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 52,281.
The city was founded by settlers from the New England Emigrant Aid Company as a Free-State town in the 1850s, during the Bleeding Kansas era. Nicknamed The Little Apple as a play on New York City's Big Apple, Manhattan is best known as the home of Kansas State University and has a distinct college town atmosphere.
Manhattan Regional Airport (MHK) is the second-busiest commercial airport in Kansas. Eight miles (13 km) west of the city is Fort Riley, a United States Army post.

Yellowstone National Park was the world’s first national park, set aside in 1872 to preserve the vast number of geysers and hot springs, as well as to protect the incredible wildlife and rugged beauty of the area. The most famous geyser in the park is Old Faithful Geyser which erupts every 91 minutes. Yellowstone is also home to one of the finest wildlife habitats in North America.

The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate strait, the one-mile-wide (1.6 km), one-point-seven-mile-long (2.7 km) channel between San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The structure links the American city of San Francisco, California – the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula – to Marin County, carrying both U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1 across the strait. The bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and the United States. It has been declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
The Frommer's travel guide describes the Golden Gate Bridge as possibly the most beautiful, certainly the most photographed, bridge in the world.[8] It opened in 1937 and was, until 1964, the longest suspension bridge main span in the world, at 4,200 feet (1,300 m).
5. Situated between the state of New York and the province of Ontario, Niagara Falls is one of the most spectacular natural wonders on the North American continent. Niagara Falls is actually three different falls, the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls. Horseshoe Falls is located on the Canadian side while the others are located in New York.
6. Kīlauea's eruptive history has been a long and active one; its name means spewing or much spreading in the Hawaiian language, referring to its frequent outpouring of lava. The earliest lavas from the volcano date back to its submarine preshield stage, samples having been recovered by remotely operated underwater vehicles from its submerged slopes; samples of other flows have been recovered as core samples. Lavas younger than 1,000 years cover 90 percent of the volcano's surface. The oldest exposed lavas date back 2,800 years. The first well-documented eruption of Kīlauea occurred in 1823 (Western contact and written history began in 1778), and since that time the volcano has erupted repeatedly. Most historical eruptions have occurred at the volcano's summit or its eastern rift zone, and are prolonged and effusive in character.
7. The Florida Keys are a coral cay archipelago located off the southern coast of Florida, forming the southernmost portion of the continental United States. They begin at the southeastern coast of the Florida peninsula, about 15 miles (24 km) south of Miami.
8. Springing up from the desert in southeastern Nevada, Las Vegas is a major US city world renowned for its casinos, luxury hotels, comedy acts, musical productions and extravagant shows. SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go visit Nuremberg (Nürnberg), Bavaria’s second-largest city and the unofficial capital of Franconia, which is an energetic place where the nightlife is intense and the beer is as dark as coffee. As one of Bavaria’s biggest draws it is alive with visitors year-round, but especially during the spectacular Christmas market.
For centuries, Nuremberg was the undeclared capital of the Holy Roman Empire and the preferred residence of most German kings, who kept their crown jewels here. Rich and stuffed with architectural wonders, it was also a magnet for famous artists, though the most famous of all, Albrecht Dürer, was actually born here. ‘Nuremberg shines throughout Germany like a sun among the moon and stars,’ gushed Martin Luther. By the 19th century, the city had become a powerhouse in Germany’s industrial revolution.
The Nazis saw a perfect stage for their activities in working class Nuremberg. It was here that the fanatical party rallies were held, the boycott of Jewish businesses began and the infamous Nuremberg Laws outlawing German citizenship for Jewish people were enacted. On 2 January 1945, Allied bombers reduced the city to landfill, killing 6000 people in the process.
After WWII the city was chosen as the site of the war crimes tribunal, now known as the Nuremberg Trials. Later, the painstaking reconstruction – using the original stone – of almost all the city’s main buildings, including the castle and old churches in the Altstadt, returned the city to some of its former glory.

Oldenburg is a city in northwest Germany. The central Horst-Janssen-Museum displays works by the 20th-century artist, including lithographs and drawings. The State Museum for Nature and Man has exhibits exploring the region's natural history, plus an aquarium. Oldenburg Castle houses part of the State Museum for Art and Cultural History, which showcases regional artifacts and European paintings.
An former royal seat in Lower Saxony, Oldenburg has a legacy left by generations of counts, dukes and grand dukes. Studying Oldenburg’s aristocratic history can be tricky as the House of Oldenburg had German, Danish and Russian branches.
Just to illustrate, the future Russian Tsar Alexander II lived at Oldenburg’s Prinzepalais for a time in the 19th century. The tremendous art collections of the Grand Dukes of Oldenburg awaits you across three resplendent properties. Keep the palace garden and stunning opera house in mind, and catch up with Oldenburg’s past at engrossing museums and old landmarks like the “Lappan” belfry.
The tallest building in the city, the Lutheran St Lambert’s Church has five towers, the highest of which measures 86 metres above the western facade. The multitalented 20th-century artist Horst Janssen grew up in Oldenburg and lived here most of his life, becoming an honorary citizen in 1992. The dedicated museum opened in a purpose-built edifice in 2000 and gives you a timeline of his career and shows the many different mediums he used for his art: There are watercolours, posters, etchings, drawings and lithographies.
When the land Grand Duke of Oldenburg abdicated in 1919, the Duchy’s art collections and valuable ensembles of decorative arts were made available to the public. Oldenburg’s first art museum goes back 1867, making it one of the oldest purpose-built museum buildings in North Germany.
Dating to 1826, the Prinzepalais was the residence for the Russian princes Peter and Alexander. In 16 hectares, the grounds of Oldenburg Palace push out to the south of the city’s historical centre. The garden is in the English landscape style and in 2014 celebrated its 200th anniversary. With a deceptive, modern lobby next to the Horst-Janssen-Museum, Oldenburg’s municipal museum is actually an ensemble of three interconnected historic villas.
The tower is from the 1460s and was actually the bell-tower of a church and hospital that became defunct during the Reformation and were lost in the city fire in 1676. The Lappan meanwhile was secularised and became a habitable watchtower, while its current Baroque dome was added in 1709. All bus lines running through the centre of Oldenburg stop in front of this popular landmark, which now contains a travel agency.
The last Burgher house to be found in Oldenburg also came through the fire of 1676 undamaged. The Degodehaus is at Markt 24 a little way from the town hall, and is an early-16th-century residential house. In 3.7 hectares on Philosophenweg to the northwest of the city lies the botanical garden, maintained by the University of Oldenburg.
Landesmuseum für Natur und Mensch was born back in 1835 when Augustus, Grand Duke of Oldenburg purchased a compendium of insect and bird specimens. On the southern side of the Lambertikirche is the last remaining vestige of Oldenburg’s city defences. This powder magazine dates from the final expansion of the fortifications in the 1500s, and at first would have been used as a watchtower when it had a conical roof. This splendid Historicist theatre is a big institution in Oldenburg, employing 450 people and attracting 200,000 spectators each year.
On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays there’s a fresh produce market at Markt between the town hall and the Lamberikirche. Minutes west of Oldenburg is a sophisticated resort on the south shore of the Zwischenahner Meer. This 550-hectare lake has been drawing holidaymakers for its water sports and healthy air since the mid-19th century.
