Places to see in ( Murcia - Spain ) Bolnuevo
Bolnuevo is a small residential complex in the municipality of Mazarron, on the Costa Calida in the Murcia Province of Spain. Situated in the bay of Mazarron, around 6 kilometres from the town itself, it was originally a peaceful, sheltered fishing bay, and has retained much of the peaceful and traditional charm of old. With its quiet sheltered beach and relaxed atmosphere Bolnuevo suits families and couples seeking a peaceful, beach holiday destination.
Bolnuevo is situated 50 kilometres from Murcia San Javier airport and 40 kilometres from this historical city of Cartagena. For those who want to get out and explore the great outdoors, there are three Natural Parks close to Bolnuevo, suitable for hiking and walking excursions.
Historical records for the region of Mazarron date back to the Phoenicians, who used the coastal area to dock and ship minerals and other produce. During the 16th century a sanctuary was built in Bolnuevo in memory of the locals who came under the constant attacks from pirates. There was also a defensive fortress, which was known as the Tower of Horses, or Bolnuevo Castle.
Bolnuevo has a traditional appeal about it. But that doesn’t mean that you will be short of amenities or facilities. The little town area has everything you need to enjoy your holiday, including supermarkets, shops, restaurants, bars and cafes.
Bolnuevo is situated on a long, golden sandy beach. Aside from the main beach, the coastline of the Costa Calida, and especially around Bolnuevo and Mazarron boasts 35 kilometres of sandy beaches, small bays and hidden coves, which you can explore.

The Plaza del Cardenal Belluga de Murcia ( Murcia Region , Spain ), popularly known as Plaza Belluga or Plaza de la Catedral , is one of the city's most outstanding urban spaces. Located in the old quarter of the city, it is a pedestrian square, tourist center and restaurant par excellence.
