We explored the city on an epic quiz quest and everywhere we turned we found beauty. The city became extremely wealthy because of the pastel trade and that still shows today.
The medieval city with one of the oldest bridges in the world is perfect for a weekend getaway.
You'll find yourself wandering narrow alleys, dreaming away at Berbie palace and admiring the grandeur of the cathedral in the heart of the city.

LANGUEDOC-ROUSSILLON, FRANCE: Travel day plus CASTLES of Carcassonne and Cathar! | Ep. 36
It’s a weekend with Maddy! We couldn't be more excited to escape to the Languedoc region with her for some off-the-grid explorations! After checking into the beautiful Camellas-Lloret, a boutique hotel with excellent hosts, we were set up our weekend itinerary.
We head to the fortified city, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, of Carcassonne to explore the castle and walk around the downtown area. Afterwards, we wind our way around the hills and head to the Cathar Castles for a pretty steep climb.
When it’s all said and done, we rewards ourselves with a nice glass of wine and call it a night!

Week-end en Midi toulousain - Échappées belles
Entre modernité et tradition, la ville rose de Claude Nougaro séduit avec son centre historique préservé, notamment la place du Capitole, la basilique Saint-Sernin, ses briques de terre cuite, de même que sa gastronomie. Les tables toulousaines, avec leur cassoulet et leurs saucisses, sont devenues aussi célèbres que son fleuve, la Garonne, où les habitants aiment flâner. Mais Toulouse est aussi tournée vers le futur comme capitale européenne de l'industrie aéronautique et spatiale avec les sites d'Airbus.
