Cervera es la capital de la Segarra Lleida Catalunya, y se localiza entre el collado de Les Savines y la ribera de Ondara, en la provincia de Lleida.La localidad desarrolla una gran actividad comercial, industrial y de servicios, especialmente relacionada con la agricultura. También es centro de una intensa vida cultural y artística, que se plasma fundamentalmente en la Casa-museu Duran i Sanpere, en los Cursos Internacionales de Música y en las tradicionales representaciones de la Pasión.
Tipica fiesta de El Aquelarre que este año ya son 40 ediciones las realizadas.
Aquí nacio y vive el Campeon del mundo de GP Marc Márquez conocido popularmente como El Tron de Cervera. En Cervera esta la sede oficial de su club de fans.
En Cervera se realizo las primeras cortes Catalanas en el año 1359 por el rey Pere el Ceremonioso.
Cuenta con la universidad de Cervera que fue construida después de la Guerra de sucesión 1714, después de cerrar varias universidades en Cataluña Felipe V con el decreto de nueva planta.

Miramar Apartment, Cabo Cervera - La Mata - Torrevieja
2 bedroom apartment with fantastic views. Situated on top of the famous Barlovento restaurant in Cabo Cervera. A small private beach in front and only 300 meters from the La Mata Beach.
This is the Torrevieja's longest beach with an extension of 2.3 km.
La Mata, a 2300 metres long and over 40 metres wide beach, is located at the Torrevieja's district of Torrelamata. To the south it adjoins the Cape Cervera, and to the north it delimits the area of La Mata Tower, which has given its name to this district.
It has a really long esplanade which runs all along the beach, where you can visit many chiringuitos and restaurants.
At the other side of the beach we can find a wide sand dunes area which are part of the Parque del Molino del agua --the waterwheel park-, and where you can find an original and highly recommended ship-shaped restaurant, the Queen Mississippi.

The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, or simply the Thyssen, is an art museum in Madrid, Spain, located near the Prado Museum at one of city's main boulevards. It is known as part of the Golden Triangle of Art, which also includes the Prado and the Reina Sofia national galleries. The Thyssen-Bornemisza fills the historical gaps in its counterparts' collections: in the Prado's case this includes Italian primitives and works from the English, Dutch and German schools, while in the case of the Reina Sofia it concerns Impressionists, Expressionists, and European and American paintings from the 20th century.
With over 1,600 paintings, it was once the second largest private collection in the world after the British Royal Collection. A competition was held to house the core of the collection in 1987–88 after Baron Thyssen, having tried to enlarge his Museum in Lugano (Villa Favorita), searched for a location in Europe. The museum received 945,000 visitors in 2013.
The collection was started in the 1920s as a private collection by Heinrich, Baron Thyssen-Bornemisza de Kászon. In a reversal of the movement of European paintings to the US during this period, one of the elder Baron's sources was the collections of American millionaires coping with the Great Depression and inheritance taxes. In this way he acquired old master paintings such as Ghirlandaio's portrait of Giovanna Tornabuoni (once in the Morgan Library) and Carpaccio's Knight (from the collection of Otto Kahn). The collection was later expanded by Heinrich's son Baron Hans Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemisza (1921–2002), who assembled most of the works from his relatives' collections and proceeded to acquire large numbers of new works (from Gothic art to Lucien Freud).
In 1985, the Baron married Carmen Tita Cervera (a former Miss Spain 1961) and introduced her to art collecting. Cervera's influence was decisive in persuading the Baron to relocate the core of his collection to Spain where the local government had a building available next to the Prado. The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum officially opened in 1992, showing 715 works of art. A year later, the Spanish Government bought 775 works for $350 million. These pieces are now in the purpose-built museum in Madrid. After the museum opened, Cervera started her own collection and loaned 429 works to the museum in 1999 for 11 years. The loan has been renewed annually since 2012.
The Baroness remains involved with the museum. She personally decided the salmon pink tone of the interior walls and in May 2006, publicly demonstrated against plans of the Mayor of Madrid, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón to redevelop the Paseo del Prado as she thought the works and traffic would damage the collection and the museum's appearance.

Torrevieja is a bustling town that has a lively atmosphere all year round, day and night. There are over 105,000 inhabitants, 55% of whom are of foreign origin. Torrevieja includes many residential areas which can be grouped together into nine main areas, all of which are well served by local bars, restaurants and shops, as well as being highly residential.
Torrevieja was originally a small village, with fishing as the main industry. In addition, the town is known for its two large salt lakes. One of these salt lakes is an officially protected area. The nature reserve around the lake is untouched and is a splendid area for hiking. It is also a popular “rest area” for birds flying between northern and southern Europe. In addition, there are often large flocks of flamingos on the lake. From the other “working salt lake” 600-700.000 tons of salt is produced annually. This salt lake is also known for its spectacular colour. When the sun is shining on the water in the daytime, the water appears to be a spectacular purple/reddish color.
The name Torrevieja means “Old Tower”. In 1802 the tower was the only building in the area, known today as Torrevieja. In 1803 authorization was given for construction and the extraction of salt from the lakes. In 1829 everything was destroyed by an earthquake. However, the area was quickly rebuilt, and salt production could continue.
The area around Torrevieja is very popular with tourists due to the microclimate, which gives annual average temperatures of approx. 21 degrees C, and between 300 and 330 days of sunshine a year. The mountains in the area are about 10 to15 kilometres inland, where the coastal plain gives way to a hilly, upland area. This mountainous zone combined with the large salt lakes, the Mar Menor Sea and the Mediterranean Sea results in evaporation of the clouds over Torrevieja. Clouds can often be seen around the inland mountains, while the coastal area basks in the sunshine.
Torrevieja’s inhabitants and tourist visitors may enjoy the beautiful beaches and wide promenade, with restaurants, cafes, shops and spectacular views. Along the promenade there are many pleasant sandy beaches. The promenade was extended in 2011, so that it now goes from La Marina to the end of Playa del Cura. In Torrevieja centre you will find a wide range of shops catering for all needs and interests. In addition, there are several shopping centres. The largest shopping mall in Torrevieja is Habaneras, located 2 kms from the centre of town. Here you will find numerous shops, hairdressers, restaurants, etc. There is free parking in the basement of this large shopping centre, which takes into account the good weather, where visitors can shop in the open air. Beside Habaneras, there is a cinema, bowling alley, casino, supermarkets, restaurants and the large Aquopolis water park in the same area.
In recent years Torrevieja has given athletes and sports enthusiasts great opportunities. At the sports centre, one finds a large indoor hall for the town’s handball team with room for 5,000 spectators, a large swimming pool with 50 metre pool, several football pitches with excellent facilities, 12 paddle tennis courts, 8 tennis courts and a tennis court with seats for spectators, an indoor activity building with squash, aerobics, zumba etc., a rugby / football pitch with artificial turf and spectators area. The new sports area, which is to be extended even further, has the well-deserved name “Sports City”.

We stopped by today for lunch with the kids after Ube wanted to go to his favourite pizza place (Ocean Front). The restaurant is just along from the plaza you won't see it from the roadside will need to walk on the beach to find it.

El Triángulo del Arte en Madrid lo conforman estas tres ubicaciones: Museo del Prado, Reina Sofía y Thyssen.
Museo del Prado
En la Milla de Oro de Madrid, la joya de la Corona, sigue siendo el Museo del Prado, un lugar en el que Eugenio d'Ors pasó tres horas (y lo contó en un libro). No es tiempo suficiente para descubrir todos sus tesoros. En su sanctasanctórum, la Sala XII, cuelga «Las Meninas», mucho más que un cuadro. El Prado es la Casa de Velázquez y en ella habitan sus obras maestras: «Las Lanzas», «Las Hilanderas»...
Pero el maestro sevillano se halla en la mejor compañía: Goya (el «Retrato de la Familia de Carlos IV», las «Majas», «Los fusilamientos del 3 de mayo», las pinturas negras...), Tiziano («Carlos V a caballo en Mühlberg»), El Bosco («El Jardín de las delicias»), Van der Weyden («El descendimiento»), El Greco («El caballero de la mano en el pecho»), Rubens («Las tres Gracias»), Fra Angelico («La Anunciación»), Durero («Adán y Eva»), Rafael («El cardenal»), Tintoretto («El Lavatorio»), Antonello da Messina («Cristo muerto sostenido por un ángel»)...
Museo Reina Sofía
A ambos lados del Triángulo del Arte en Madrid se ubican el museo Reina Sofía y el museo Thyssen.
El museo Reina Sofía va mudando poco a poco su piel. Su sede habitual (antiguo Hospital de San Carlos) fue ampliada por Jean Nouvel en 2005. Un proyecto que, pese a costar 92 millones de euros, no termino de convencer por romper con la estética neoclásica del edificio.
Aunque es un museo joven (se inauguró como museo nacional en 1992, pero ya en 1886 funcionaba como centro de arte), se ha consolidado como uno de los grandes museos de arte moderno y contemporáneo del mundo. Su bandera, el «Guernica» (el deseado) de Picasso, que llegó a España en 1981 (se expuso en el Casón) y desde 1992 cuelga en el Reina Sofía.
Hay largas colas a diario ante el museo para admirar la gran antológica que le dedica a uno de sus puntales. Y es que Picasso, Dalí, Gris y Miró son un póquer ganador. De estos cuatro artistas el museo atesora importantes colecciones. Cabe destacar obras como «El gran masturbador», de Dalí; «Mujer en azul», de Picasso, y las tres mejores esculturas del malagueño: «El hombre del cordero», «Mujer en el jardín» y «La dama oferente».
El Reina Sofía ultima la reordenación de sus colecciones. La fotografía y el cine se han hecho un hueco importante. Con un recorte en su presupuesto público de un 25% este año, el Reina Sofía se ha convertido, al igual que el Prado, en ente público y ha creado una fundación en la que hay importantes coleccionistas. El museo cuenta con otras sedes para exposiciones temporales (los Palacios de Velázquez y Cristal del Retiro). Ha recibido importantes donaciones (como el archivo Capa de la Guerra Civil española) y préstamos (colección Phelps de Cisneros).
Queda para la historia la pérdida de una relevante pieza de su colección: una escultura de Richard Serra de 38 toneladas, «Equal-Parallel/Guernica-Bengasi». Se le perdió la pista en unos almacenes de Arganda del Rey. El artista la rehízo y hoy se exhibe, resucitada, en una de sus salas.
Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza
En 1992 se inaugura el Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, con el préstamo de 775 obras de la colección del barón Thyssen, una de las mejores colecciones privadas del mundo. Un año después la adquiere el Estado por 350 millones de dólares (estaba valorada entre 1.000 y 1.500 millones) en una operación en la que su esposa, Carmen Cervera, jugó un papel decisivo.
La baronesa cedió al Estado unas 240 obras de su colección durante 11 años, de forma gratuita. Préstamo que se ha renovado ya tres años más. Sigue siendo una incógnita el futuro de la colección, que cuenta con tesoros como «Mata Mua», de Gauguin. Con la pérdida del patrocinio de Caja Madrid, el Thyssen busca, al igual que el Prado y el Reina Sofía, cómo atrapar a poderosos empresarios, que están entrando en sus Patronatos.
