We heard from people that have been RVing to Mexico for years that Chacala Beach is a must do. They were right. The restaurants grill fish to die for and the surf was absolutely perfect for the boy to catch some ways. It was so much fun to chill with the people from Mexico without a single tourist in sight. Did we mention that fresh donuts are served on the beach? In this episode, Tori fly's home to catch-up with some friends and go to a school dance and we head into Puerto Vallarta to get some school done and remote work. We also stumble across some Thrifty Ice Cream at the Pto Vallarta marina. We also talk about the KYD Insiders through our Patreon account. We're having a lot of fun with the Insider, so check that out! Link above.

Sayulita was discovered by roving surfers in the late 1960s with the construction of Mexican Highway 200. Today, Sayulita is a prosperous growing village of approximately 6,000 residents. Hailed as a popular off-the-beaten-path travel destination,
San Pancho Culture San Pancho, as the village of San Francisco, Mexico is affectionately known, has preserved its rural essence and the authenticity of a picturesque Mexican town. Here one can still enjoy the serenity and the principles of old Mexico; where people take the time to chat rather than rushing to do business. Just an hour’s drive north of Puerto Vallarta airport but a world apart, San Pancho sits peacefully upon a wide palm-fringed golden beach wrapped in a lush cloak of verdant jungle. Quiet cobblestone streets provide visitors and residents a safe haven in which to wander and discover the town, with delightful restaurants close at hand to enjoy delicious refreshment.

Other RVers were coming back to La Penita with stories of Tequila and Guadalajara Mexico and we knew we needed to make time to visit. We initially were going to take the bus, but it didn’t stop in Tequila non-stop so we decided to drive. We met-up with our tour guide Angel who gave us an unforgettable private tour of Tequila – the town and Rubio’s Distillery. Then we headed out the agave fields to drone over the endless fields of agave ready to be turned into tomorrows Tequila.

Mexico's Best Beach * 2017 * Chacala Beach
Chacala Beach is the best beach in Mexico for 2017 & 2018. The Beach is about an hour and a half north of Puerto Vallarta. This beach competes with some of the best beaches I have seen while traveling around the world like Kovalum beach in India and Kuta Beach in Bali.. This beach has all the best qualities one could want from a beach that is exactly the right size by me: and like all great places, it will not last long before it is fully developed.
This is the kind of beach that hugs you with it's size and is wonderfully comfortable because like other endless beaches on the Pacific coast this one feels like your protected in it's wonderful bay. Fish is a plenty for the eating here, as well as plentiful fruits and fresh vegetables. The Altavista petro-glyphs are only a short drive and hike away . This is the most romantic beaches for a full moon stroll.

After spending a couple days in Tequila Mexico, the next stop was Guadalajara. We were blown away with how BIG this city was and how it reminded us of being in New York City when walking the streets, except for the rich culture and Spanish history. Around every corner was another church or breathtaking picture. We stayed at the Morales hotel which was 5 stars (just ask Caleb).
