1er janvier 2008 Au sud-ouest du Kenya, près de la frontière tanzanienne, le parc national Masai Mara est sur 1 500 km2 un des hauts lieux de la vie sauvage. Les safaris en montgolfière sont un moyen privilégié d'observation des animaux, à hauteur idéale : celle de la cime des arbres. Si les gazelles abondent, on peut aussi observer gnous, zèbres, buffles, mais également girafes, éléphants et grands prédateurs tels le guépard, le léopard et le lion. Il faut choisir les premières heures du jour, tant que l¿air contenu dans le ballon est moins chaud que l'air extérieur, condition indispensable pour lui permettre de s'élever.
